I love how you come up with some creative ways to use healthy ingredients. When I made this I needed more color and a little spicy kick. I dice up a red pepper and a small chili to give it a some red color contrast and some heat. Also I seared the brussels sprouts until they caramelize a little bit, to add extra layer of flavor.

For those who don't like using the guard on the mandolin like me (and I'm lookin' at you Shira), you can use a cut glove instead. It gives you the flexibility of being able to use your hand but adds protection in case you slip. They are available online and at most stores that carry kitchen equipment.

Dannii, I was so nervous - and angry - that it immediately distracted me from watching the rest of the video. If these cooks want to be respected and taken seriously, they will demonstrate proper use and techniques.

I know right. I cut my thumb once using my mandolin and never had the guts to touch it again! :(

Do you have recommendations for where to buy a mandolin slicer?
@Rosedara4 жыл бұрын
I love your recipes, they are just amazing. the only thing I have to comment on is your use of the mandolin especially for people who are not familiar with using it. I have gotten some very serious cuts from using that And I'm on edge every time you use it with your fingers so close to the blade it just kills me! Maybe you could go over some basic safety tips when you're using it because you make it look effortless but I know better!

They're the same family as cabbage, so if you would eat a coleslaw, this shouldn't be much different. In fact, I was waiting on her to mention it!
