Ustadh Abdelrehman Murphy talked abt this, and he said if something is not good for me then make it good for me, isnt allowed. Because you want something that can potentially be bad for you. As Wajeeh said if this is not good for me, then dont give it to me and protect me from it. Its all abt trusting Allah s.w.t over yourself

I was also in Mecca and Medina in last 10 nights of Ramadan, totally different feeling than the states. Fasting there and opening your fast there was surreal. It was a great idea that you made that decision to go for ummrah. But eating in streets of Lahore is really bold

I do not agree with confiding in a friend. According to islam it is not allowed to go and discuss your spouses problems with people. Because ‘They (your wives) are your garments and you are theirs’ says Allah in the Qur’an. The metaphor of the garment is a very powerful one as it brings home the message. It creates in the mind a crystal clear picture of the relationship needed for a happy and healthy marriage. Clothes are a basic necessity for humans. I highly recommend having a therapist for those fallbacks. Never discuss your issues especially with family members, it creates resentment against your spouse which is bad in the long run.
