I prefer the soap and brush👍. I'm usually pressed for time in the morning. Splash my face, wet the brush, a few swirls of brush on soap, then get on with it shaving. damon phillips The soap is Synergy Shaving Soap from www.HowToGrowAMoustache.com. It's the Bay Rum scent. The brush may be part of the problem, however, the soap is more important. A bad soap will not lather well if you have a low or high quality brush. I hope that helps. -Mark

I don't know why I can't get this to work. I've tried 3 different soaps and no matter how long I work at it, it will not lather. If I'm lucky I can get a tiny bit of lather out of it after, like 20 minutes of working at it, but not enough to do anything. I try adding more soap, I try adding more water, tiny bits at a time, and I just can't get it going.
