Man I sure miss these days when Dave was on air bringing great music to the masses. What a great performance by Shawn, love the tune, the vocal and the guitar work. She got a lot of airplay on WXRT in Chicago in these great days as well. As a side note she lived in Carbondale IL around the time I lived in Southern IL, so great to see her make it with such a critically acclaimed carreer.

Thanks for this. I totally forgot I had her first album on tape that I bought in 1989. Just listened to it again on spotify. Total flashback. Great album. Strange how I still remember the music, even though have not heard it for 30 years.

I'm sure I saw this when it first aired, but that was so many brain cells ago. Wow, Shawn both looks and sounds amazing here. You can tell when Dave really likes a musical act. I remember the first time The Black Crowes were on (1990?) and they just lit a fire under Dave. He was ranting and raving afterwards, "Now THAT's music! What is this this Milli Vanilli crap? We don't want that, THIS is what we want! Turn the dump over and skip town with the waitress rock and roll!!"

1990 is correct. May 3, 1990. It was their network television debut. They performed “Jealous Again.”
