He still made some good music. Mary Wells was married to 2 of the Womack brothers and she had children by both, people are only human and they make mistakes and we have to forgive. That’s absolutely correct. Bobby Womack was talking about Sam and Sam’s wife in that song. Matter of fact, Sam was murdered. Bobby did say in his song ‘I hoped that he(Sam) never come home.’ Bobby came to Sam’s funeral with Sam’s wife. He was wearing Sam’s suit and driving Sam’s car. Bobby married Sam’s wife two months after the funeral.
