My son turned 10 around the time this came out. I played this song for him, and for my daughter on her birthday that year. I still text them the first lines occasionally, ‘I knew I loved you before I met you, I think I dreamed you into life’. Feeling unconditional love between parent and child is the best emotional gift that this world has to offer. My purpose was/is to be their Mom and I’m sure I rocked them to sleep to this song often. Even hearing it now feels like a cozy blanket, bundle of joy. Thanks for bringing this back.

I was listening to this song on the cassette player of my car in college. It was 1999 and this album had just been released. I was a senior and there was she.. walking by, a fresher that year.. the song still playing.. I still remember feeling something strong like never before.. Guess Darren Hayes turned out Cupid for me.. Now it's 23 years.. We both were together for 10 years, then got married 13 years back. Over the years, we've had two boys and two girls of our own. We both are blessed to have been there at that moment.. This song made my heaven then.. and still continues to give us both goosebumps. 💕 Let this song give love and hope to all who hears it. My favorite Australian group! Their album "Affirmation" was made following Darren Haye's divorce, so the emotion in this album is very real. All the good, bad and ugly of relationship stuff comes out. Plus a song about addressing abusive relationships, "Two beds and a coffee machine," and a song about dealing with people who have passed on, "You can still be free." A gem of an album! It's a crying shame Savage Garden only had 2 LPs.
