I lost my dad at the age of 10. Pretty much raised myself. I wish I could have had a man in my life to show me all the things you know and can do. Your sons are lucky! Some of my best memories are camping, fishing, hiking with the family. My dad was behind it all, instilling a love for the wilderness in me and my brother. My dad still lives in the suburbs but my brother and I are on big acreages in log cabins! I'm sure you will do the same for your boys.

I used to tell people that I would give anything to have another moment with my dad.. good bad or indifferent... but I'm not sure that I "could" handle a bad one.. I guess I would do anything to have a good moment with him again... Anyway, I like you, try to learn from my fathers mistakes... and push myself to give my boys what I didn't have.. which in this case is just to be around and love them. Cali makes me believe Golden Retrievers still got it. memories of my favorite dog I ever owned come flooding back, It was 40 years ago. I never got another one. Boy what a dog.
