I've been a fan of your channel for over a year now, since 2019. In this one though, Cali has done this before so often she just manages to take centre stage behind you in so many shots it's as if she is fully aware of the camera and photo bombs you all of the time. I'd enjoy the process of your log cabin buildings taking form at such a relaxing pace anyways, even if Cali was not present...but with Cali added to the mix. She really loves the underneath of that porch, I think she's claimed it as hers.

The campsite around the new cabin is really looking quite well organised with a makeshift table and seat, the campfire set for the business of good meals, and the cabin in the background well underway. Shawn, I’m starting to get the real feel good feeling I had with the old cabin build, the new cabin is starting to feel like a home rather than just a building site. Like with the old cabin it’s not just walls and roof as shelter, it’s the life you live outside around your shelter, an extension of the home. Feeling good👍🏼

Except it appeared to contain chives which are toxic to dogs, like all vegetables in the Allium family (onions, garlic, shallots, leeks, and chives). Many vegetables are good for our dogs but some things that are very good for us can be very harmful to them and you need to be vigilant when giving them "human food". Most people are unaware of this toxicity until their pet gets ahold of something they thought was innocuous and ends up getting sick. BTW, I've also emailed Shawn to alert him so that he's aware.

I've been watching Shawn working just about nonstop for a number of years. with amazing skills. to be there by yourself with no help, plus planning which is not easy at all. I have to smile every time I see Cali. Many years ago, I bought a Golden Retriever and of course, she looked just like Cali. I had 3 boys and they played together all day long. What great pets they make. Wonderful dogs. That was back in the late 70's. I love the face they have, almost looking sad but, the rear end shows a different attitude.
