The way you used the trem bar on the opening song was super nice. I'd say it has a hint of Landau there, but the way you play around with it is pretty much your own. The gain box is really cool. There are more dual drive pedals now, and this pair is very good. It's just about enough for a wide range of tones.

You are too kind and modest. In the last 2 years, I have spent more hours transcribing your outside lines than other players. Andy is a beast, but you are a beast also. Nice demo. Amp or amp emulator, the clean “Tone enhancer” was a perfect description of how to use ch 1. I use a Kemper and Helix and run an OCD or AT (Angry Charlie) on low gain as an amp breakup thing and prefer real pedals before amp emulators. Good reason to consider a pedal like this, amp or emulator. By the way, your description video on your mic technique made me go out and buy a Royer 122. I know you use a 121 but I also use it for voice. Thanks for all of your demo videos. Royer might want to send you a thank you...smile.

One item I really appreciate about the noise gate on this Wampler pedal is it’ll also take out any unwanted noise/hiss from anything going into the input side . I use an EVH 5150 overdrive some with a built in noise gate that only works for that pedal..no matter where it’s at on my board. I’m definitely the type to have 4-5-6 drive pedals on a board..😂..so this comes in quite handy

One of my favorite pedals! My #1 favorite though is the Cornerstone Gladio - dual pedal. Simply glorious and even more-so with a Dumble “style” amp! I’ve never played something that has much tonal mojo, as the Gladio. The Gearbox is an awesome pedal and lives on my BIg pedalboard. Thanks for the video and the terrific demo! Best! ✌🏼

I’ve played dozens of drive pedals, and a TON of dual pedals. The Gear Box is up there as one of the best-sounding and most useful dual pedals. It combines the Wampler take on a Klon (Tumnus) and their take on a hot-rodded Marshall (Pinnacle), but both are tweaked to Andy Wood’s taste - so neither are stock. Add in the option to run each channel independently and change the order of the two effects, and the routing possibilities are endless.

It interesting that you use the word "enhancer", I use the same. Just and enhancement of the sound without distorting it. Keeping channel one on to enhance the sound is great and what makes this pedal the choice.

I’m just guessing but I’m pretty sure you could do that. It has the dual in/outs designed to go in two separate loops on a loop switcher. Should be able to rig up something that way?

Thanks! I don't believe this pedal comes with a PS. The Gearbox is designed to sound great and have plenty of gain into a clean pedal platform amp.

Bought this pedal direct from Wampler after a disappointing experience with their Plexi Drive Deluxe. I bought because their support was so good. However, like the Plexi Drive, I found this pedal to only be dynamic at higher gain levels. Dropping the gain below 10 resulted in a thin, sterile, lifeless sound. Maybe I'm just not a Wampler guy. Their great folks, but I'm just not impressed with the pedals.
