I can't even put into words what Bobby Brown brought to the game. This whole album is phenomenal, and let me tell you what. It crossed all racial lines, genres, styles of music, you name it. EVERYBODY knew who he was and loved it. Everybody else at the time may have just as well step aside. Miss those days. Us 80's kids were so lucky. Loved this reaction.

This joint is still hitting hard in 2022! The second biggest song to come out of the New Edition camp. BBD's Poison is #1. You should react to Poison one day. It set the blueprint for all the rap mixed with R&B that are all over songs today,

And he was the same way live. Still recall back in late 80s Madison Square Garden Bobby headlining. Non-stop party on stage. Had an awesome time and do not recall sitting down, not even once. Nobody there did. My favorite song by Bobby is “Roni” 🔥

He is what a performer should be! He danced his a$$ off, sang, put his ALL into every performance, he was the king of performers at that time. It's true, there are no performers like him now days. Those days when those songs came out were the best! Great days, great artists, great memories, just a great time to be alive back then! 🖤🖤🖤

It was different back then, people went out dancing. You can’t just decide to go dancing one night. You’ll be out of breath before one song is up. Dancing is like working out! There were way more clubs, drunk driving wasn’t a thing. We used to go out and if we got pulled over drunk driving the cops would just ask us if we were ok to make it home? And if not they would take us…..then traffic got worse and everything changed.

"to be Bobby then, you gotta be Bobby now" -jayz. No one could get to Bobby brown highest level and not experience his lows in some way too. Same with MJ. Can't say you wanna be like Michael and be at his level and not carry his burdens too. Heavy is the head who wears the crown. Everybody want the crown til they have to do what it takes to wear it.

If people would just learn to be vulnerable again, passionate about the art and not worry so much about superficial shit, the music now would be so much better. Like someone said, men stop singing in the rain, grabbing the air and crying in videos. 😂 Even rappers had songs about falling in love or at least talked about being fans of r&b music and groups. They weren't afraid to admit shit. People are so damn worried about being open because everything nowadays is perceived as either weak, gay or not masculine. 😒🙄 That's a way deeper issue. Again, I don't mind seeing the nakedness, but I prefer love songs over anything else. You can be completely covered up, but still sexy and beautiful. To me, it's extremely attractive and sexy when you express your feelings and show your emotions.

This song was waaaay before its time. I remember the first time I heard it on the radio. The announcer was asking people to call in and tell what they thought about it. The phone lines lit up. My son and I were in a parking lot of a grocery store, and he (my son) got out of the car and started dancing in the parking lot. He was like 8 or 9. He remembers it to this day!!!!
@___Will__Ferrell2 жыл бұрын
It's true Shawny. Artists used to dance back in the day. You had Michael Jackson, Madonna, Bobby Brown and many others that danced for most of their shows. Today the only ones dancing during their concerts are Bruno Mars and Cardi B. Everybody else just stands there like a mannequin and instead invite all their dumb friends onstage so that they all could stand on stage motionless. Even today's audiences do NOT know how to clap for more than 2 or 3 seconds before running out of energy and instead focus on recording with their phones. It's embarrassing what concerts have become.
