Definitely not all “natural” energy lol….Most of that was probably the crack cocaine he was smokin at this point in time in his career. That being said, he was and still is super talented. I give him mad credit as well for him getting and staying sober. I know from personal experience that sobriety is extremely difficult to achieve and maintain, so kudos to Bobby Brown 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Funfact: Bobby Brown had global commercial success in the late 80s. He had multiple top hits and his album was the #1 selling album in the world for the year in 1989. Additionally, Bobby Brown scored #1 hits on the Billboard Hot 100. People forget how commercially huge Bobby was but he negative image ultimately ruined his stardom and legacy and the white music executives blacklisted him. While Micheal Jackson, Prince, Whitney Houston, Madonna, Bruce Springsteen and Janet Jackson are the face of the 80s and culturally regarded as the foundation and pioneers of modern day Pop music, Bobby Brown has had some impact on Pop Culture as well. Bobby Brown in addition to his group (New Edition) has inspired a profusion of artists such as: Usher, Chris Brown, Bruno Mars, Justin Timberlake, TLC, Boys To Men, New Kids On The Block, NSYNC, Backstreet Boys, Neyo and the list goes on. Regardless of what the media portrays of Bobby Brown, he is a legend.

True, though as an independent song (away from album), I believe this was more popular than Control. Cool songs. This tore up the NYC clubs back in the day. New Jack at its finest. Dont be Cruel gave him the one-two-three punch to own the late 80s ("Every Little Step" this and "Don't Be Cruel")...It was the trifecta of the time.

Bobby and "Uncle Rick" were good friends. Bob would frequent his home here in Buf. Bobby still has a love for Buffalo. Love my "big brother"

Wow! the Twin hit it on the head. Rick James was indeed B. Brown's idol. When he sung My Prerogative at one of the Black Music Awards Shows he dedicated it to guess who, Rick James!!!! Awesome that you caught that.
