Seriously he has all the room to build whatever he wants and winds up wasting a ton of money on a gym that he has already outgr3 before he used it. Its marginally bigger than what he had and putting 3 or 4 Shaw sized ppl in there? Plus them wanting to do strongman stuff in there also? Seriously if it were JUST a GYM to not also do strongman stuff in, its still too small but would be better use. Half the wall space is storage. Even if you have money coming in hand over fist, waste is still waste.

People hate on the smith machine for just an odd reason. “It’s assisting your work” yeah, but if you’re training alone, you can go heavier and not worry about injury. Not to mention, Jay Cutler exclusively used a smith machine for his squats.

It’s more about the fixed plane is not biomechanically accurate and can cause impingement and comfort issues. Ironically the biggest pro for using it is also safety since you can bail out at any time with a flick of the wrist.
