Shay come here you big lug, give me a hug! This vlog reminded me of the old Shay, no Trixin no work stuff, just Shay living his life, I don't normally like vlogs but I will like this one.

Ben Charlton Maycee Leslie DaLeadBull Are you able to think for yourself? I don't think so. Shay was not coming up with anything new. He was just talking about something that someone else said. HE WAS WEARING TRIXIN TO SELL IT. He was talking about death over and over and over and over and saying you should live your life now. WOULD YOU KNOW THAT IF HE DID NOT TELL YOU THAT?

"Just Shay living his life." That's for dang sure. Loved that Shay so much. Not saying I no longer do, but I know he's busy with tons of stuff. It's like he has no time anymore. We miss these beautiful words of encouragement Shay! Your positivity is endless.

I don't comment very often, but I must say -- the endslate is a perfect example of why the Shaytards vlogs have resonated with SO many people, and continue to do so after all this time. It's because you, Shay, have a pure heart. After 6 years, you continue to put things into a broader perspective and contemplate life on a deeper level. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter where we're all from or what we believe because you display a spirit of kindness and compassion that transcends our differences.

+Summer Rearden If you've been feeling depressed and believe that it may be actual depression please go to a therapist and get help. I love that Shay encourages everyone to choose happiness, but for people with depression that is not always a choice without the help of medical professionals. Try to choose happiness, of course, but make sure that you're doing everything you can to be able to continue doing so. :)

what a crazy emotional vlog. what an emotional evening. One of the reasons why i just love shay so much, he appreciates these things so much and idk the fact that that guy died on that beautiful beach on that beautiful night its just so weird and so sad but so pretty and shay sees that and it makes him emotional to a point where he starts crying. like i feel that so much. makes me so happy knowing that people like him and his family exist. idk how to express myself. anyway, beautiful vlog.

Shay, you better leave that stuff in!! That was so beautiful--the whole thing--the sunset, the happy family, the looks on the faces of everyone out there that night, Daxton and you in the Pacific, Collette beautiful as a Madonna, and the poor man on the beach, and the cops doing their jobs. Dax on the rings--he's fearless!! You diving into a foot of water!! CRAZY!! But through it all you could see and hear and feel that magic you saw, and if anyone has ever been on the beach in Santa Monica and felt one of those balmy nights when when the air feels like silk on your skin and the sky is puffed with clouds and everything seems totally magical--if you have then it all came back to you when you watched this one Shay--really amazing gift--I feel honored that you chose to share something so special! Thank you so much!

+Weswife1998 What I never understand is how people who are so religious and think that after death you will go to heaven (or planet Kolob, or whatever), and have an awesome time, still cry and are sad when somebody dies. I mean you either don't actually believe he is in a better place or there's something wrong with you for being sad that something good happened to that person. Why don't you celebrate?

I wish it was easy as saying "start being happy" it's not easy. Depression just ways you down more than anything. It drains your energy and strength to try. Hating yourself so much just makes you lose any motivation to keep going. I want to be happy like you and your family. But for me it's harder than anything. Thank you though for giving me the little happiness I get from your videos.

I took a shower and collected my thoughts to try to figure out how to respond to this. I don't know if you'll read it, but I want you to hear this. First and foremost, thank you for being a ray of light always. I definitely watch you for inspiration, and your emphasis on living in the present and pausing and enjoying life is so important. But I want you to know that being authentic is so much more important than being happy. I feel like you put all this pressure on yourself to be happy all the time, even when you're not feeling it. I feel like you mask your stress and anxiety by talking and acting crazy because you're so uncomfortable feeling anything but happiness. Hearing you slap yourself for crying made me so sad. You're allowed to cry and grieve for this man and express gratitude for your life through tears. Just be you, Shay. Your Shaytards family loves you.

+Julia Green It depends where you are energetically, that is all. If you're feeling negative, or some of the lower vibrations, it won't help to hear it and you'll find him irritating. If you're higher up on the vibrational scale, you'll find yourself enjoying it and nodding. If it's depressing, listen to as jolly music as u can stand, and raise it up and up until you want to dance. Then watch this again, and it will wash over you in an uplifting way. Most people don't know they are in control of their emotion and feelings .. it's a powerful place to be when u take the reins of your mood and stop assigning it to others, then u can be creative in uplifting yourself, and you'll draw more positivity to you as a bonus !

I learned the hard way how short life is when my husband died 18 months ago. I was so grateful that we had said we loved each other and told our children we loved them as well. Coincidentally, our last trip together was to the Visitors' Center of the Mesa, Arizona LDS Temple. He hadn't been sick and it was very sudden and unexpected. But the good news is that I know where he is and what he is doing and his tests and trials are over for him in this life. Thanks, Shay and Collette, for everything you do to educate the world about happy families. Families CAN be together forever.

Its been almost a year since I've been able to watch Shay's vlogs. I'm an undergrad trying to go to law school. I'm almost speechless at the emotion and spirit that Shay is able to broadcast to his viewers. I really missed watching his vlogs. This video reminded me of how fast my life is going by and I pray that our Heavenly Father keeps me grounded in my journey. As I look to past videos I have watched, I just wanted to say to Shay: thank you, for always being authentic. For creating a place where people can come together and be supportive, think positive, and embrace this thing called life. :)

Shay Carl. Stop not crying. If you want to cry, cry. It's what we love about you. Compassion for a lost life is beautiful. And no matter what that mans story was, the loss of his life reminded you to embrace and appreciate yours more. We can all take that lesson here, so for that, Thank you, and thanks to him. Bless his soul, and may life be worth living while we embrace the perfect sunsets of this life. Great Vlog, Shay. Great Vlog.

Shay, thank you for sharing this wisdom and always being honest about what you're going through. We had my golden retriever of 14 years put to sleep yesterday, she was very old and it was clearly time, but it is still incredibly difficult. Thank you for sharing some of your grieving process back when Malachi passed away, it makes it easier for me to feel ok about these feelings. I hope that we all take every opportunity to appreciate those people, animals, and experiences that make life worth living.

I was looking at the article someone posted below about the man who passed being homeless. That is heartbreaking. I was just in Santa Monica/Venice a couple of weeks ago and it's so saddening to see such a large homeless population there. Multiple people on the corners of every street. I gave one woman who looked incredibly ill a slice of pizza, thinking perhaps she was simply very hungry and tired. Now that i've watched this video, to think I may have contributed to saving her life has really opened my eyes. As a society we need to help those in need! Life is so precious.

This is one of my favorite videos of all time. I've been watching since almost the beginning of the daily vlogs and I feel like this one in particular summed up the way I feel about you guys and the way you make me feel. Time and time again Shay talks about how family is the most important thing and to live life to the fullest and to stop waiting around and choose to be happy. When I first clicked on this video I was having a very bad day and I was choosing to be angry over something that was very silly to be angry over. For the video to begin by him telling me that I need to get myself together and stop waiting to be happy, I realized that he was right. Shay, you and your family have changed my life in ways that you will never understand. I am influenced by you every day and I hope that you realize how much of an impact you have on your viewers day in and day out. Thank you for being here to wake us up to the reality that we have more control over our life and our emotion than we think.

This is my favourite vlog for some time. Simple, poetic, relaxed, beautiful & of course moving. I was shocked at the end slate emotion, but I think that's because lately, we've not seen that side of Shay. Years ago, we'd be treated to a few minutes of Shay just chatting away directly to the camera. Sitting in his truck. Walking the dog. Talking about life. Hopes. Dreams. Loves. Deep things that I think got me hooked on the tards. Lovely vlog.

I watched the Shift with Dr. Wayne Dyer the other day and at the end he says some awesome words; the funny thing is, I thought of you Shay because I feel like your service and purpose is to help your fans by teaching them what "family" is and I don't mean for everyone to emulate you, because some of us are always going to have more or less than others. It's the seeds we plant in each other that can sometimes flourish into wonderful things because of the choices we make from the things we see and hear. I thought of you because I feel that you meet a lot of the qualities Dr. Dyer mentions. Some of what Dr. Wayne Dyer said was: The ultimate thing is, why should we have to die in order to get it? We ought to be able to get it while we're here. Nobody needs to ask the question, "what is my purpose?", it will always be found in service. If you can just, for one day, put your attention on making life better for someone else, if you can focus on thinking like that, that's how God thinks. It's an ancient concept, but it's still relevant. To touch someone's life is more valuable than any amount of money. My friend Byron Katy says, "to believe that you need what you don't have is the definition of insanity." That "you can't be fulfilled until you get all these things, that's an illusion." Really, you don't need anything more. It doesn't matter what it is you do, you could be a cab driver, a teacher, a factory worker, a manager. What matters is that you put your attention on "how may I serve?". Think of the people you go to, whoever you are in your path. You can run an entire business this way, not being attached to outcome, putting attention on service. Your life becomes about living those virtues. How can I serve? How can I be gentle? How can I be reverent? (Shay, you've taught a lot of people about being reverent! :) :) :) Thinking like that means your living in meaning. The messages of the morning are about what you can and can't do. About how society defines you. But in the afternoon, after the shift, it's about connecting to an energy that takes care of everything. Try to stop yourself from breathing; from your fingernails growing. Living the virtues is all we need to do. The truth is, I feel something else is in charge of all of us. So it's really about surrendering to it. Surrendering to something that is bigger than you, than you are connected to and that's really in control of everything. There's a place, deep within us that wants to feel fulfilled. It wants to know that "my life has made a difference, that I've left this place, this planet that I've lived on, better than when I arrived. That someone's life has been profoundly touched because of my existence. We all want that. It's not about age, or about finding yourself. Wherever you are, at whatever age, you're only a thought away from changing your life.

I thought that this was so lovely and I am so glad that you did talk about it because the way that you two spoke about something that is thought of as so terrifying was the best way I have ever heard anyone say it because it was the truth. You made it sound peaceful and so dream like, which I guess everyone hopes it will be like when we go on and do the things that each of us believe will happen after our body can't handle the youth that remains in our spirits. It's crazy how the thing that should bring us closer due to the fact that we all experience it in our own ways, yet in reality this seems to break us up because of everyones separate intentions and beliefs on the matter, but ultimately I think it's fear of the unknown, I hope that in the future we can all come together and share such a wonderful thing that we all get to celebrate the life of somebody without being overruled by being scared of death.

It's weird, I have been feeling pretty emotional lately. I found out last week my aunt who has been struggling trying to battle cancer for the past couple of years is now stopping treatment and the doctor said she has 3 months to live. My whole family is really heartbroken as we are booking our flights to Florida as soon as we can before she starts to lose her memory. & Today I found out my coworker's oldest daughter who's only 13, was just diagnosed with cancer too. Work was really depressing today and its hard to try to be happy when everything around you is making you feel down. Anyway, the weird thing about it is that I am so tired and I debated watching the vlog tonight but I am so glad I did. The realization of death can really make you want to live your life to the fullest! I love you Shay, I pray that your family stays strong and healthy! xo
