SHE ACTUALLY HIT IT! The First Fish She Ever Speared With A SPEARGUN

Christine and I head out with our friend Sascha Meyers to do some rod and reel #fishing. Our plan was to troll for mahi-mahi, also known as #dolphin fish which is a very viable pelagic species that reproduces quickly. Once we had a mahi-mahi on the line, we wanted to jump in and #spearfish a few. We weren’t having much luck trolling, so Christine insisted we jump in to shoot some fish instead. Sascha and I jumped in over a wreck and I shot a yellowtail snapper and a grunt margate. Soon after, Sascha was able to spearfish her first fish ever with a speargun! She was so stoked that she shot her first fish, a yellowjack that is really delicious raw as sashimi and in sushi rolls! We had such a fun day even though it didn’t go as planned, and we look forward to having Sascha back on the show in the future!

Hey Judah and Christine. You got some great footage. I've been following Sascha and her sisters Sailing Channel "The Far Side" and saw on there channel Sascha talking about spear fishing with Judah Clark. So I came over to find this video. I really think Sascha would benefit from posting more of this video on her channel. It really shows people more about who she truly is and just how qualified of a boat captain she is. You can't beat the excitement of an ear to ear smile taking someone fishing. !!!!!..I used to work on offshore sportfish (boats) when things got overly slow and you had "That guy" on board. everyone has been around "that guy" at some point. The prank was the 5-gallon bucket trick. when "that guy" isn't looking, slip a 5-gallon overboard on a 120 rod on free spool wait a bit then flip the drag on and watch the show. LOL. Keep in mind we would troll at 12 knots a lot. In most cases, it was the wife that wanted to set up the husband. Then she would have the same ear to ear smile...... Judah, nice work spreading the love of water to others......Good job all on the vid........

2005 I was in Bermuda fishing the Billfish Blast/World Cop Marlin Tournament and we had a White Marlin come out of the water on one side of the spread. It jumped clear across the spread to the other side and nailed a trolled Spanish Mackrell 30 feet away. Your sailfish story reminded me of this bite.
