Gwyn, I'm very sorry about Yun Yun , I have a lot of figures i also have a lot of Kadokawa figures and it's never happened to me, I'm so sorry, honestly I'd feel terrible if it happened to one of my figures. I hope you find a solution for Yun Yun soon. I also pre-ordered an Aqua figure, I have a lot of Konosuba figures, so I expect it to be great!Anyway great video as always, you have my support. "It looks like it's attached" So did the first one.... in fact, when you picked the figure up by the body, the buns even came upward alongside. I don't think it was totally broken to begin with, but extremely fragilely connected, and the sheer force when you tried to remove the plastic wrap sideways was the final straw. I could even hear what might be a tiny snapping sound. Based on the picture of the damage and the paint "transfer" thereof, it seems they are cast separately and then either painted and then glued together or simply held together by drying paint.... Either way, that's probably some extreme fragile connection to begin with and liable to be weaker than intended during manufacturing (as opposed to hard cast connections). As to why Yunyun is distraught... probably because Megumin stole one off of the set she's holding in her left hand, which probably caused it to start toppling.

I took a relook also and it was already broken before gwyn took it out. When she picked up the figure, the buns slightly moved away from the figure's hand and kept gravitating downward towards gravity (as you can see from how the buns kept tilting backwards) so if there was no plastic wrap around it, it would have fallen off from the figure already.

I received a defective Alter’s figure from HLJ and they wanted me to ship it back. Once I told them that it is going to cost $250 USD they just sent me a complete brand new one in a box. So good work customer’s team from HLJ and Alter.

I was struggling hard to put that staff through megumins arms, but I actually realized towards the end that both of her arms actually do come off. Her arm and armpit come off. Those instructions they included were really something else lmao

they look lovely! glad you were able to get a replacement. i recently got a figure from amiami that had a broken piece, but thankfully i was able to just glue it back on and it's not noticeable. will definitely keep in mind what you said about the shipping labels tho just in case lol. 😅

I'll just add my knowledge about AmiAmi shop: I am too generally pleased with them and their customer service. But my start with them vas not good (pre-owned) figure in A+/A was like C/A = damaged :/. Though they replaced it with brand new :). My point is: if you receive damaged FIGURE or parts , then they will gladly help you if you have as you mentioned proofs (shipping label, invoice, pictures of box or damages). I em still shopping there and in this moment am waiting for echi tapestry (actually the second after gorgeous life size Holo in drees) which is in shipping proces. Not to forget. Shipping method you chose also determine how will /can they help you.

Out of all the figures I've ordered, I've never had a solid break. but I HAVE had a few QC issues. Only once was it SO bad I needed to ask for an exchange through goodsmile USA(i'm Canadaian ovah'er!) and it's been over a year since they agreed to do it, but have yet to tell me when they will. lol. still twiddling my thumbs at the moment. especially since it's the Wonderful Works Ryza, who is absolutely adorable. I'm very happy to see how quickly things moved for you! And generally love goodsmile, so here's hoping I can also get mine exchanged soon enough!

So sorry to hear about your Yunyun but glad to hear AmiAmi got you your replacement pronto, and this video was helpful in letting me know what to do if I have to return a faulty figure. Actually, this video is a first for me - the first time you are unboxing figures that I already have. The reason I find this exciting is to see whether your reaction is the same as when I unboxed my Megumin & Yunyun, and I am so happy to see that you were and for the same reasons too (I’ll take your reaction to the replacement Yunyun as it). May I ask how is it GSC can send you a replacement if you had bought it from AmiAmi?

Yunyun and Megumi are so adorable. That's really a bummer that Yunyun arrived broken. I experienced similar like this on my very first scale figure which is Kotobukiya Tanjiro wherein he's head fell off inside his box and his left earring was broken. I don't know what to do as I was a newbie collector back then so I just glued the piece back on and did not contact my local shop about it. Glad that you got a replacement and the process was not as hassle. We really learn from this experience and it's worth it for our beloved figures :D

After paying shipping for a 180size box from Amiami, you're damn right I'm splitting up shipments! When a listing says shipping may be high due to size and/or weight... not an acrylic keychain or even a clear file is coming with it. Yunyun's best girl!

Such a bummer that the first one was broken, I absolutely hate returning things, it’s just so much bother. But I’m delighted it worked out in the end, because they’re absolutely beautiful, so nice. And I love that the little dumpling is magnetised, I love magnets being used in figures & statues.

My YunYun can exactly like that too ! Atleast the basket still fit without falling and you could glue it pretty easily. Amiami do give a replacement if you ask them !:)

I love how you use scissors, because I also use scissors. I'm trying to think of if I actually ever bought a box cutter, but I do have some scalpels for model crafting, but that feels like a waste to use for tape cutting.

Damn, super relieved you were able to straight up get a replacement, unlike me. You were definitely luckier than me when it comes to Amiami support. (So far Amiami has spitefully been the worst for me, whereas GSC has been exactly as good as expected (slow, but by far the most professioonal; truly makes one feel valued); Mandarake, depends on which store, but generally better than Amiami so far). Rant: (I bought an A- preowned Native figure (gift box girl) from Amiami in December; she came with her foot's paint abraded off on the blister packaging early January. I contacted Amiami and provided all the pictures as requested, and even additional angles. I unfortunately got a short string of inattentive responses claiming that the damage was too negligible for assistance due to the damage being on the back of the figure (despite the damage obviously being visible from the front as shown in pictures). I inquired again, and simply got a "we resubmitted your photos but the response was the same" response. I sent an additional photo, but it's been 3 weeks since then; Amiami still hasn't replied. I'm just left here without any valid reason as to why they cannot provide any support (hell, not even a 500-yen store credit compensation that they used to do). (Also similar incident for a Kasumi I just got last week; B+ so shouldnt had any visible damage, but had paint chips and scratches on legs. I've given up on Amiami's support for preowned figures at this point). It could just be that Amiami's support is unreliable when it comes to preowned figures, but to me the problem was more in the lack of attentiveness and professionalism in their responses (c'mon... Not even a 500-yen credit (less than $5) is embarrassing for a company like Amiami). Mandarake has since become my default for pre-owned figures (responses are moderately more professional, condition documentation is far more accurate/conservative, faster processing and shipping times, and yet prices are cheaper; probably fair since Mandarake specializes in preowned only. Hence, Amiami's still the best in terms of preorder prices and/or bonuses as well as packaging; just sucks when their support deems you unworthwhile, despite having spent close to 10k USD in the last few months with them.) Anyways, super glad you got the proper support you deserved!

Well from what I can see in the video, everything seems to be in very good condition. You could have just glued it and not even notice that it had come off before. If her whole hand snapped off, yea, that would have been a reason to contact customer support. Not this. Just unnecessary extra transport mileage.

I also recently received a broken figure, preowned A-/B. AmiAmi agreed to replace it and I sent it back just today, they are really kind in my experience. Those figures look great! I'm tempted to buy the YunYun but she's not in my budget rn unfortunately. I hope more Konosuba figures in this art style get released (or rereleased). While the anime art style fits the genre, I think the figures with this art style are prettier.

Hey Gwyn, this is a bit of a lost art, but if you want to keep the edge flap of your box intact when you open it, you can try using the flat edge of your penknife instead of prying the flap open with your fingers. On a closed box flap, slide your penknife in from the side and use the flat edge to lift up the flap. Easy peasy! Hope you find this tip useful! Happy collecting!

My Yunyun also came broken in the same way... Luckily it was an easy fix. KDcolle are a little weird with figures so far. I do think a lot of the 1/7 of normal-ish height characters are pretty large, but the younger/shorter characters are smaller than other 1/7 of those same characters from other companies. I have a couple where the faces are a bit more round or wider compared to other companies as well and the ankles are wider too, but overall the quality is really nice. They definitely, absolutely nailed it with the Yunyun/Megumin china dress figures and I would also say the Band of Thieves Iris/Megumin are just as good and personally I might like them a little bit more even though I love everything china dress... Even though they are a bit big, luckily they still fit with my Philena Waal figure. Surprisingly she is maybe bigger.

Sad, can you ask for replacement? I had experience like this from buyee, to be fair my first one got refunded (tax not included though) 2nd one was a small piece of hair from an asuka GK, unfortunately Buyee did not respond to my numerous emails after providing pictures and all..after 2 months I checked again with them using a new email message cause the original one appears being ignored...to my surprise they said 2 months have passed and cant do anything about it...I highlighted my original email and sent again my evidence that technically, i responded in every picture request but they did not respond and sticked to their alibi that its more than 2 months... it was very clear that they tried to ignore my complaint eventhough I paid for full insurance, protective packaging...seller did not pack the GK well so it was damaged during transport. Anyway just sharing my experience. Sad Buyee experience.. happy collecting !

I don't understand.. And please don't get upset. But I've looked over and over that moment when you do unbox the figure, and say that it's broken.. But looking at it, that is only the dumpling detached itself and could be easily fix by using glue. Why you didn't do that and asked for a replacement right away?
