Same for me 18 years with my Ex and cut free was like highschool sweethearts with 5 children all are grown now... An I'm with the 1st woman I met after her and it's been 15 years together. And my ex is an functional alcoholic now an has a new guy every 3 months my children tells me. My Ex likes to call randomly when drunk. I answer for sake of the children we have but only to hear her half communicate but make sure to always just say no one was better than me 😂.

Selfish, all about me, me ,me. what about her children, what about her ex husband now? It happened to me also. She left me and was seeing another younger guy after 25 plus years. she thought she could hold on to me just in case this new guy walked on her. Thinking she could always come back to me but I told her one night when she came over right after leaving and I found out about the new guy to go from my house. If something was about the children she could call but other then that I didn't want to hear from her. Her safety net was pulled out from under her. I told her I had no respect for her anymore at all.

When I was consentrating my 'dating' for primarily divorcees and single moms, I was amused at how they will do things in bed (or the car, or the back parking lot, or the alley, or the woods) with me that I'm pretty sure they never let their ex-husband do while they were married. Plus they were all on a diet, had new hairdoos, clothes and would happily put out on the first meeting (not 'date'). Maybe thing would be be different if they put that effort in their marriage, eh?

As a woman I agree with you however with that said, a lot of marriages don’t allow women to invest In their looks and themselves. As a high maintenance woman myself, those things are NOT cheap. Men who get married often will shame a woman for getting work done, losing weight, etc so a lot can’t do that which is why you often see the “post divorce glow up” content.
