That really looked like allergic hives, not a chemical burn, especially since it sounds like they went down after taking medicine. Girl should have rinsed everything out and gone to the ER. I really hope she doesn’t try to do the rest on her own, allergic reactions have a tendency to get worse every time (I went from having just an itchy mouth after eating peanuts to almost requiring and epipen when I breath around peanuts, so that’s fun)
@ivechang67202 жыл бұрын
While I agree it looks like an allergic reaction please know that histamine is involved in multiple immune responses to damage and infection, not just allergies. Stay safe beloved neighbor 💗.

From dust...to a shampoo you used for 10 years...to the first time (or rather second time) you come in contact with any substance. Chemical or organic. Doesn't matter. Plus it can happen at any age. From a week old baby to a 99 year old Granny

Antihistamines will help skin burns, too, like chemical burns and sunburns. I have super sensitive skin and I can assure you that sunburns and chemical burns can cause hives as a reaction to the burn. Either way, yes, wash it off thoroughly and seek medical help!! I don't know if it's ER worthy if you can breathe fine, but most communities in the US at least have an Urgent Care Clinic that's meant for all the things that are in between "I can see my doctor about this next week," and "I might be actively dying."

I'm guessing the Sally's employee forgot to tell her that liquid developer is for color only and not bleaches. I was so confused as to why she was so concerned about the cat coming into the bathroom, besides the fact the cat probably wouldn't enjoy the bleach smell as their nose is very sensitive. When I bleached or dyed my hair I kept my dog "locked" in my room while leaving the bathroom door wide open and the bleach still was strong, but at least there was air circulating. I'm confused as to why she didn't do the same. The bathroom isn't the only room in a home with a door. She's lucky she didn't end up admitted to the hospital or worse yet, died. Once you damage your lungs you can't do anything about it. People always forget or disregard safety measures. We only have one life and we need to make appropriate choices to like not die irresponsibly. I'm glad my kids don't do this without lots of research. My daughter prefers the salon because her hair is long. Firstly, she doesn't have the patience and secondly, she doesn't trust herself to not mess up her hair so she goes to the salon.

@@solsirhibragusowl2221 I gotta say that the ER is a nightmare here in Canada, where we do have health care coverage. But you know having coverage doesn't make it a perfect system. Our wait times are insane, and there's a ton of people with no doctor, because there's such a shortage of doctors. People here routinely travel to the US or Mexico for healthcare, because they can't wait.... ...well, lucky people with the money to do so do that. The rest of us sit here, literally dying sometimes, while we wait for a surgery or an MRI or an appointment. Also, not everything is covered. Dental isn't. Perscriptions are not. So, sure, you can get an appointment with a doctor for free (if you're lucky enough to have a doctor, and can wait and wait for an appointment), but then you have to pay for the prescription (a lot of people, maybe even most, have prescription coverage through their work, but I don't have that at my work). Our ERs are always a crowded, clogged mess, because the zillion people with no doctor go there, cause they don't have anywhere else to go. Still, I think I'd prefer our system to the US system. Our system isn't perfect, but at least I don't have to stress about how to pay for an actual appointment.

Chemical burns are horrible and take a very long time to heal, 16 years later and I still can't have sun on my upper back without very high sunscreen due to the damage one bad shampoo mistake caused. Screw you timotei, mild my ass.

I knew nothing at all about hair, can't even style it 🙈 I always go to a salon and my close friend owns her own, I now regularly shock her with knowledge about hair now, she's so impressed ... even I start shouting at my phone when I know things will go wrong and what to do... I've learnt so much by just watching you, plus my husband watches to and we enjoy watching you shout and people having a meltdown 🤣🤣

Hair Buddha and myself simultaneously gasped ‘OH MY GOD’ upon seeing the neck 😱😂

Hair Buddha, you once showed us an elderly lady from somewhere in Asia putting her hair into a bun or knot of some kind without Bobby pins or clips. Would you be willing to show us how to do that?

She needed a few sections of testing before hand just to see what colour would come out and what the condition would be on already bleached hair so looking forward to the end

I had 40” long hair and used to box dye my hair, I used the same box every time for years but I never skipped the patch test. When I bleached it I just went to the salon though (after the dye had grown out, which took over 3 years and my hair grows extremely fast).

Watching these hair fail videos remind me why I don't bleach my own hair. They reassure me I am doing the right thing by leaving my hair alone and only getting it done by professionals.

She is definitely a Southern girl and we have a saying down here in Nashville and throughout our Southern Region we say Bless her heart. It has a double meaning to be used in a loving way or a snarky way. Bless her heart she did this. Like who is this silly . Bless her heart.

I so get the double meaning! I'm Canadian, I was born here, but my Mum is from the Southern US, she's from North Carolina, she always used to say this, and so does all my family down in NC.

This is the second video of yours I have watched. I subbed and loved after the first. I PROMISE, I will use proper ventilation if I ever dye my hair! Also, I WILL do a patch test for at least six hours before I get crazy with my hair.🤚

I'm fairly sure the cat would be too smart to stay in the bathroom with those fumes once it got a whiff of it. She could've opened the door.

I appreciate your honesty, tips and advice so much! (More often with Cosmetology professionals they want to do the chemical processes and cut hair off for the money.) But you tell the truth! Thank you so much :) I want my hair long and am currently eating healthy, letting it grow out and nipping off ends every 3 to 4 months. I do not use heat or chemicals on my hair anymore. A wide tooth comb, Microfiber towel and conditioner or co-wash are the only things I use on my hair now. It's shiny, soft and frizz free :D Edit: this girl scared the sh*t out of me. When she couldn't breathe then I saw her neck... OMG. She really should have gone to the ER! Please, please, please IF you're going to use chemicals on your hair, ALWAYS do a test patch on a small spot of the inside of your arm, even if you have been okay before because companies routinely change ingredients & chemicals in their products without notice. Always test first, it could literally save your life (as well as your skin and hair!) It's best to go to a reputable salon that has good reviews though.

My god girl! I think the burns٫ her skin coming off and her almost dying is the worst thing. When she showed her neck i had a panic attack for her. That was horrible.
