Landon Franklin Thousands of animals die every year falling through ice. Animals don't have a natural instinct against it... certainly not when snow covered. And to suggest that a pet should die because it doesn't is borderline insane. For example, a husky is a very intelligent dog who originates from cold, icy climates. If it's a natural instinct to any dog, it should definitely be for the husky yet Flash ran right onto it. Animals can't tell that there exists the danger of falling through thin ice. They see it merely as a solid surface which may be a bit slippery.

it was already below freezing point but kept unfrozen by the aerators. Flowing water doesnt freeze. So when they turned it off it froze very quickly.

We have a hot tub at our family house in Durango, CO up high in the mountains where there are feet upon feet of snow during the winter. We always walk out with a robe and slippers (or we slide on converse), hang the robe on a hook, and then there’s something for feet and body already there for the walk in. People think that just a few feet are no big deal when you get out, but it’s crazy how cold you get on the walk in and it can negate the benefits of being in the hot tub just from the walk in. Congrats on getting your hot tub. You’ll never be able to live without one now! 😂😂😂
