SHE POKED MY BUM ! | Medical Exam for Filipinos bound to JAPAN (POEA Requirement)

There was a storm signal in our area so classes were suspended. So, I took this chance to do my THIRD pre-employment medical check up. Yes! This is the 3rd time doing a medical check up for JET. The first one was submitted to the Japan Embassy as a requirement in the JET Programme. For the second one, I did a breast ultrasound as requested by the office in Tokyo. This third one was a POEA requirement before departure and for issuing of a POEA certificate of employment for Overseas Filipino Workers.
So, everything that happened that day is in this video. I discussed everything without even a bit of discretion! Haha!
For those who haven't had any kind of medical check up for workers overseas, I hope this video helps!

Good day po. Ask ko lang po sana yung sa medical exam. Kung Aug 14 po ang departure namin at Aug 2 ang expiration ng medical result, dapat po ba na kumuha na ng panibagong medical exam kahit na July naman ang schedule sa POEA for the OEC? Thanks po.

You'll only need the Medical Records po for POEA, so as per my judgment lang po, you won't need to present it anywhere after you got your POEA COE.

Uhhmm.. this is kinda tricky 😅 So, regarding the illnesses, I'm pretty sure that your goal is to pass the medical examination so any illnesses that might hinder you from fulfilling your duties and responsibilities as an ALT will decrease your over-all chance to get the position. Hope this helps. 😅

Hi Andy ! For POEA Medical Requirements, may mga list lang ng dapat mong ipa-test. As far as I remember, wala naman sa list nila naipa-test ang keloid. Kung nag a-apply-an nyo pong trabaho ay English teacher, hindi namanpo makakaapekto ang keloid or stretch marks sa inyong application. Regarding po sa ibang employment or trabaho, hindi ko po alam specifically alam kung anong mga medical tests ang dapat pagdaanan. To know more about this, search nyo na lang po sa website ng POEA. I did not do a comprehensive dental examination so I cannot answer this question. Try checking the POEA website for this info.

Hello Ate I'm also a POEA candidate bound to Japan I would just like to ask about the fecal exam, hindi po ba allowed magdala na ng sample bago pumunta sa HMI clinic?

It will depend on the clinic where you will undergo an examination. With my case, the HMI Clinic allowed me to do my business at home then bring them the sample in a sealed container which they provided for me the day prior to my lab exam 😊

I am not sure kung nagagamot po ang almuranas but I think you will be advised to go under medication first if it's curable before you can proceed with your application.

Hi Jesimerl ! This is not an inappropriate question at all 😅 I actually made a video about my leaving Public School. I resigned from DepEd to join the JET PROGRAMME. Though you gotta remember that every situation is different. You could speak with your Principal about this. 😊 Good luck! 😊

Hi Kr'shna ! I actually also have the same condition. I just submitted all the health documents that proved that my breast lump will not affect my job as a teacher in Japan. If ever you already had it checked before and is diagnosed as benign, you have up to 95% chance of passing the medical exam. POEA-accredited clinics will ask you to redo the test though or to submit a certification from your doctor that it will not hinder you from working outside the country. Hope this helps! 😊

hello teacher @@margaretteanne2429 ^^ i fear the same, i just discovered that i have a breast lump and i haven't even gone to the doctor to have it checked. so like, there was no declaration about it in my self report of medical condition. what were the health documents you submitted that prove that your breast lump will not affect your job as a teacher in Japan? thank you. 2019 incoming JET here^^ your blog is very helpful.

In my case, since I've already had 2 breast ultrasound procedures from the same clinic, I opted to ask my doctor to write a physician's statement stating the medical findings as written on BREAST ULTRASOUND INTERPRETATION (not sure about the medical term they use for this paper). I also requested her to write the exact words "THE PATIENT'S HEALTH CONDITION WILL NOT HINDER HER FROM FULFILING HER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES AS A LANGUAGE TEACHER HERE OR ABROAD". 😅 My Doctor was very considerate and she wanted to make sure that I will not need to go through further tests to prove that my breasts are healthy. Just speak to your physician and really try your best to help them get to what needs to be written down on that Physician statement.
