This 20 Minute documentary covers the story of Indy's Steam Survivor, Nickel Plate Road 587 from its revenue career on the LE&W & the NKP to it's present day disposition awaiting its chance to steam again. This documentary is a revamp of my original 587 documentary put together & released in July of 2018, having been completely reworked & updated with additional material not in the original version of the documentary.

A minor correction: I Incorrectly stated that 1998 was 587's 90th Birthday. This is not correct. 1998 marked its 80th Birthday, not it's 90th Birthday.

Glad to hear you liked the documentary on 587! In regards to finding the Steamin In The Valley song: I found it on KZbin, via the YT Content ID system. After figuring out what it was called with the Content ID system, I searched it up on KZbin & found an upload of it. With the Content ID system, I've found most if not all of the Berkshire Productions songs used in the Berkshire shows. I've been planning on eventually putting together a compilation of all the music once I find it all. The song used in Steamin' In The Valley is Moving Vistas by Beverley Hermann, released in 1977. #587 was saved with siblings #624 and #639.

"Siblings" is relative in this case, as 587 was built by Baldwin for Lake Erie and Western, while 624 and 639 were both built by Lima for NKP, I would say they are siblings but adoptive ones.

​@@amtrak1214 587 is stored in kit form on Kentucky Steam's Ravenna, Kentucky property at 499 Kirkland Ave Irvine, KY 40336. Regarding the restoration, I will more clearly state that it is unknown when the restoration will resume. A plan has not been announced regarding the engine for it's 3rd restoration & it's future operation. Until further announcements regarding it's restoration are made, That is all we know. We'll just have to wait and see.
