My father is 56 years old, and I know he’s not a senior. But he’s physically not strong anymore he can’t even hold a pen. And I’ve been trimming his nails and sometimes doing some home simple foot spa with him for almost 6 years now. Even though I’m married and having a baby, I still go at my parents home and trim his nails. Reason why I am the one doing it because my mother died at 49 years old due to cancer. And both of my siblings are busy with work and all. And my father only trust me when trimming his nails. And I’m truly grateful for that.

They can’t BEND OVER. They are old. Carers are overworked, underpaid as are nurses in nursing homes. That’s why it’s up to the family members and many members just dump their elderly members at a home, rarely visiting.

I used to be a nurse & I was working in a geriatric care hospital. One of my patients had a horny growth on top of one of her large toenails-about 2" high. The doctor wouldn't nor would the podiatrist attempt to treat or remove it.She had to have a hole cut in all her shoes to allow this thing to poke through. She felt embarrassed about it as she was mentally fine and liked to look her best. I gave her a bath one day & let her feet soak for a while. As I was drying her feet, this horn thing looked translucent & I realized it might be hollow through the middle. I got one blade of the clippers & poked it through the horn quite easily. Then I closed the blades together, there was a loud "snick" and the horn came off! My patient was delighted & I felt very pleased with myself! The toenail had grown so long it had curled back over itself & formed the horn. A Podiatrist could have filed it down, but everyone seemed to very reluctant to touch it. She wasn't diabetic, so there was no issue there. It's one of my finest moments in nursing-to have solved a problem that had troubled and annoyed this woman for many years.

That was the dumbest solution to a problem I have ever seen that had to look ridiculous 😢 walking around with a hole in your shoe and a big “2” inch thick toe nail sticking out 😂she was better off getting a bigger size or cutting it herself 😂 I would’ve grab some nippers and went to work the best I could I’m not doing that . That’s causing more attention to my feet walking with a hug big toe sticking out like be serious 😂😢

The person might’ve had mobility issues that prevented them from being able to reach their feet/ or hold a position to reach their feet long enough to trim it. I have to agree though🤦 why is THAT the solution… and not just investigating the ‘horn’ and someone trimming it…😵‍💫

I've been watching your videos for a while and it's made me realize I need to take better care of my feet. My feet hurt all day. I work as a nurse and have 6 and 7 hour shifts where I'm on my feet all day. So today I bought a pair of Brooks tennis shoes. They are so comfortable. My old shoes I was wearing were Nike tennis shoes I bought 8 years ago. And I got orthotics as well. I have a lot of health issues and have been pre-diabetic before. And I'm worried about having foot and joint issues later in life. My heals, arches, knees, and hips were all hurting. But just a few hours in my new shoes and orthotics my feet feel better! I live in the states so I can't see you but I've learned so much from watching your videos and have realized how important it is to take care of my feet!

I’ve been watching for a few months. You have helped me take care of my feet. I thought I had fungus but it’s not! It’s thick toenails growing differently because my big toe has started changing direction and the joint swells. I’m grabbing with my toes to keep balanced which makes the ends of those toes grow hard skin on the ends. I keep them filed down and grind the toenails down to keep them thin. Love watching you. ♥️

This patient would really benefit from custom-made insoles that would protect and cushion the pressure points. They actually shift the position of the foot and make a world of difference.

I have this problem, though not as serious, and could hardly walk. Had insoles made (they are fantastic, you step on a kind of glass-made scanner, it draws your “hotspots” and use a 3-D print to make them). They changed my life. I now go once a month to my podiatrist for “maintenance”.

Been watching your videos for a while now and since then, I really took the time to take care of my feet. It made me realize that I need to take care of it before I get some issues. I have a feet routine every night together with my skin care routine. And it really improved my feet appearance and skin texture. Thanks, Toe Bro!

I’ve done this for several old people whose feet were out of control. It started with my mother in law when I tried taking her for a pedicure and no one would touch her. It was then I began my quest to help the elderly people that I knew. They love their new found feet, men and women alike. ❤️❤️

Being a cosmetologist we have our clients soak their feet with thick nails like this 3 to 4 times a week in epsiom salt and vinegar water for 15 to 20 minutes a day. It really seems to help break down the bacteria/ thick skin on the feet and under the nail beds.
