5:04 I looked up “Groundhogs Day” on the Japanese Wikipedia, and it said it was released in Japan under the title “Koi no déjà vu” (Déjà vu of Love), and it had a niche audience. However, I believe I mentioned in a previous video that the source material of “Edge of Tomorrow” was the Japanese novel “All you Need is Kill” (published in 2004), so its possible that Subaru could have read it. But judging by how he never references it may indicate he was not aware of the scenario (though it’s entirely possible that the creator of Re: Zero could be ^^). 25:18 “Dude I love Elsa, she’s nuts dude!” Hehe, same here… she’s a great villain. She’s lovely and so kindhearted… like when she told everyone to take good care of their bowels. ^^ 29:37 “Where did Satella come from though?” We’ve heard in the previous episode that Satella is the half elf/ half human Witch of Envy. In the first episode, we saw how Emilia expected a negative reaction from Subaru when she told him that she was a half elf. And when she told Subaru that her name was Satella, Puck was aghast and said she had bad taste. These moments should indicate that Emilia is NOT Satella, but because she resembles her, she is ostracized or seen in fear from others. My theory on the reason she told Subaru that she was named Satella was to see if Subaru would get a reaction out of it or that it came out of low self esteem.

The lifetime reset actually happens in Re:Zero in one of the IF stories (so non canon timeline). IF stories are side stories that show what could have happened had Subaru chosen a different path at certain story crossroads, and go to some pretty wild places. They're not really canon so much as fun little what ifs, but they're fun to check out once you get to those parts of the canon timeline. Officially you've already passed one! also damn, with how random the kid making process is, trying to get the same kid in a time loop would be damn near impossible!
