After so many weeks Motorcycle camping on the road, it was time to get back to basecamp and take care of some housekeeping issues. Maybe we’re being too picky, but our tent choice still wasn’t up to snuff, Chris’ Sena 10C Pro had finally bitten the dust, a quick visit to the doctor was in order and much more.
Despite our numerous spills and falls, Chris has managed to break something. A quick visit to a doctor confirms the diagnosis, but even broken bones can’t keep us off the road for long.

I just got rid of my 2004 Electra Glide Ultra Classic with 122,000 miles on it. Really enjoyed it on long trips. Still have my 2001 Softail FXST with 118,000 miles. A lot of fun to ride. Smallest Library in America? It's a converted phone booth in Clinton Corners, NY. Now a branch in the Dutchess County Library system. Smallest Library in the World? The library in Cardigan, PEI, sits in a building that measures 3.5 x 3.5 metres, and holds about 1,800 books.

As a young-un I worked for a couple of years at a dairy. They ran two shifts 365 days a year. Milking stalls held 8 cows and we milked over 100 cows each shift. I really liked that job. (Barefoot and working outdoors). The fresh milk was an amazing perk and store bought pasteurized milk doesn't even hold a candle to it. Thanks for the video, really enjoyed it.

John, i would say a lot of folks don't know how good REAL whole milk tastes. sometimes farmers won't sell it to people. i think there might be a law against it. but i can say it really is good tasting stuff!

Hi Richard don’t mean to teach you how to suck eggs but I always tension the chain with the weight on the back wheel ie side stand as the suspension does sag and then you get the correct tension. Doing it on the centre stand almost always results in to9 tight a chain which is hard on the wheel bearings and gearbox bearing, especially as both your bikes are always fairly laden when on the road. Thks for all your trips, keep it up.
@TwoWheelsBigLife
@TwoWheelsBigLife Жыл бұрын
Yes I agreed, but I measured and added stead with the tension on the wheel and measured the distance with it on the stand and and always adjust to that number.

wow! pretty neat. i really am glad your toe is better. that has been a problem for quite a while. my uncle owned a dairy farm when i was a kid. did you have a drink of cold milk without the cream being separated first? some of the best tasting stuff, compared to what you buy in the store. and then make butter from cream. my uncle also made maple syrup in the winter. home made syrup and maple butter, candy, just the best. glad y'all back on the road. 100K on your bike, WOW! holy mackrel. and still running good. (of course i remember the maintenance) but still a LOT of miles. until next time. y'all be safe.

Great channel. I look forward to your weekly posts. You do a great job with the video production and I really dig your music selection. When I was younger, my buddies and I would do a 3 to 5 thousand-mile ride every spring. I'm 75 now and have slowed down a bit, but still enjoy the occasional day trips. Hope you both stay healthy and continue enjoying the BIG life.. Just a word on the new rotors. I bought a new Road King a few years back and had to replace the brake pads at 5,000, miles. The second set lasted about as long as the first. So when I put on the 3rd set, I replaced the stock rotors with a set of Harley floating rotors. I bought the 4th set of pads at the same time and have yet to use them. The bike has about 70,000 miles on it now and there are still some miles left on the third set. The floaters were expensive but they have more than paid for themselves.

Well, I know how you feel Kris! I too broke my right foot. Ignoring the overly cautious directive of my wife to not step across the dog fence in the garage, I did, and now wear the same boot you are sporting. It’s week four, tomorrow I see the pediatrist, and hopefully no surgery will be required. It’s both painful and humiliating. Ice baths, and compression keep the swelling down. Dang thing still hurts, My harley sits in the garage, my butt in the easy chair, and I watch your videos… now even that distraction is a painful reminder of my own stupidity. Hope you feel better soon Kris!

Guys just a quick note thecreason Chris tyre worn like that could be the ryre pressure with all the gear that she carries see needs to have the rear at about 42 psi .. .so front should be 38psi rear 4 lb more so 42psi ...remember Chrises Triumph is more of a sportier bike....higher pressure rounds the tyre low pressure will flatten it and that's why it wears in the middle and you get a flat spot ...worked in a bike shop here in New Zealand for about 5 years air pressure is very important see how her bike goes with those pressures in it will handle better and tge tyres will last alot longer Cheers Gary

Safely heal quickly. I had just finished reading lots of folks with foot and ankle breaks injuries. I then examined my "Sidi Trial Zero" boots and was able to fold those over at the ankle - not good at all. Driving 90 street some dirt, 550 lb bike. After significant research and review reading I went with the Gaerne Fastback Enduros for protection. A bit stiff up front but are wearing in nicely. Keep us updated on how those progressive springs work out, pls. I've been considering installing those on my 2000 Transalp. Big expense, but worth it from what i've heard so far. Hyperpro sellls 'm for about €800 front and back, 🇳🇱 NL.

Congrats on the 100k miles! That’s an amazing milestone. Question, have you ever tried riding with a camel back water container? As a Florida rider I don’t leave home without it. It really stops me from getting dehydrated. Stay safe.

Ouchies..I fell out of a tree in Jr High and both heels hit on a big rock...landed flat on my back...ended up at the foot Dr and was xrayed and both heels were broken. Dr made a cast of my heel and made fiberglass things that I had to keep in my shoes....later had to do it again because I had grown.....after two yrs. they were fine....Huggzzyall

I try to keep up with your videos,but when did you get a trailer? Basecamp? Do you haul the bikes in it and just travel out from there? Makes a nice portable garage!

Hey guys.. Don't feel bad. I know whatcha mean. I've broken the middle toe on my right foot 3 times, on the same chair leg at our breakfast table. You think I'd learn by now. Good luck

We use those gloves working on machinery, they save a lot of time wasted washing your hands. Some grease is mean to remove from skin.
