The roller set was a technic they used to get the hair dry, without having to use a handheld dryer and a brush, pulling at the hair. This is gentle. The hair is so long, you haven't come all this way to watch it break off .but I do agree, the straighten was not needed. I loved it straight off the rollers. You could wrap it in a small bun and let the ends kind of smooth out and it would be good.

To anyone wondering why eden used the flatiron after the roller set. Just maybe it's what the client requested. The roller set instead of the blow dryer is a healthier way to dry natural hair. A roller set and silk press is one of the services that eden offers. She did a great job!

When you blow dry with a dryer and a brush you have to constantly brush threw the hair , pulling and tugging. So this way is very gentle. Once your hair gets that long, it's a good idea to be tedious with the styling if you don't want it to break off.

She didn’t use a setting lotion or foam. I’ve never been to a stylist that does dry roller sets like that without any type of setting lotion or foam. The roller set would have been fine on it’s own if she used a setting foam.

Drying Full/Long hair I would rather roller set dry instead of blow drying. Blow drying can be very hard on the stylist. Really easier on all involved; stylist, client and the hair.

The roller set is for body and stretch. Silking with the flat irons gives it the silkier effect.

The lady's hair pretty much quadrupled in length after the roller set and moreso after the flat iron! The mystery of shrinkage on Afro hair! This lady's hair is amazingly beautiful! She has a gorgeous head of hair! The hair is healthy and gloriously super long.
