Based on the contents, the excellent condition, and the electrical/HVAC added to the long shed, There’s more to the story than meets the eye. If I were that homeowner, I would do anything and everything in my power to resolve this without a repo.

@@KingfishStevens-di9ji cutting wire one at a time is not dangerous if you know what you're doing, problem I see is that what if a small kid came along and played with those loose wires laying on the ground? Could kill someone and where does the liability fall, I'd hate to be responsible for that.

This sux, I'm pretty sure this is the guy I'm thinking about, if it is then he died and the son wants nothing to do with the shed and its contents, sad case because it's a functioning business and could have been resolved but the repo company probably couldn't get in touch with the family and that's why it went to collection. All in all, a sad scenario!

Wow, Josh! I just know that my jaw dropped when you entered that building. Goodness! I'm going to say that the value of the contents FAR outweigh the value of the shed. Seriously! I also have a question for you and Sarah. Is giving a thumbs-up to the channel AND the various comments, actually counting as a credit towards your KZbin build-up? Because that's how I handle my favorite people. I actually searched KZbin a couple of years ago and came away with a "yes" on that, so that is what I do in the comment section. I "thumb-up" the video and then read ALL of the comments while doing the same to the ones I like, (which is usually most of them. Sorry about the length of this.

If they cant afford the building, i can understand that, but why leave your things inside if there is even a slight chance it will be gone when you get back? I can only imagine how many times they tried contacting people b4 getting to this point

I had a tenant who put himself into serious debt. The indicator, as usual, is the overflowing mailbox. The letters literally pushing the lid open (here in germany many mailboxes have a flap outside and a lid inside), the letters raining into the hallway. All from debt collectors. At a certain point people just stop responding. They dont open letters anymore. They dont answer the door or take a call. If i shut my eyes, i am invisible.

A lot of people are discussing the contents of the shed. Dewalt dw746 probably early 2000’s 10” they called it a “hybrid” tablesaw. Not enough hp to qualify as a larger cabinet saw but more than a contractor or job site saw. Other than there was a jet, looked like a planer maybe a planer/jointer, probably tops out about 6k new. The real surprise is why that dude didn’t build his own shed. Honestly not enough space to really run either of those machines. Guy is probably driving himself nuts rolling equipment around in there playing musical chairs to mill up any decent lengths.
@WatcherNine

Here's the trick: to build a shed/workshop you need a building permit, inspections, etc. and if you build it, it has to be a permanent structure. YOU can't build a temporary structure, you need a permit even for that. To get a shed, which is not considered a permanent structure, you put a down payment (or pay in full) and have it delivered and you're done. If the building comes in one big piece (or even 2 pieces) and can be picked up and moved again it doesn't need a building permit. If you do it yourself you wont get it half way built before the county/township comes and puts a work-stop / red tag injunction and/or fine on you and shut you down. Yeah it's a scam, a scam by our local governments to suck you dry and make you comply.

Interesting, wonder how the law views the large shed. At what point does it stop being a mobile, movable collateral and becomes a fixed structure requiring more of an "eviction" then repossession. Obviously that family has something going on since you could sell just a couple of those larger tools and pay the shed off.
@WatcherNine
@WatcherNine 9 ай бұрын
If you have it built onsite it's a permanent structure. Some define it further by having a foundation or permanently attached to one. If it's just sitting on a slab and not attached but you build it yourself, you need a permit to build it but it might not be a permanent structure. It's a bias against the property owners that needs to be fixed country wide. As it stands now it's kind of a scam being run by local governments. They literally make millions off permitting offices across the land, and that should not be.

Maybe they are, but people still buy them. Cars are too expensive too, and now with the EV scam they're more than twice as expensive, but people still go into debt to get them. If people stopped purchasing things like this then the price would drop, but a lot of the places would go out of business which would raise the price again. The only option to this little problem is to build your own or buy a used one...which could really be disgusting based on what I've seen in some of these videos 😅
