My grandmother got this game for me at a yard sale for a dollar when I was nine so around 2004-2005, around that time getting games was a treat since I was living with my single mother. At the time I remember getting upset that the games stealth mechanics were kinda wonky, I just didn't get it, but I think of getting that game fondly. That was the only thing we bought from that yard sale that day, thanks for pulling that memory from the depths of my mind.

What a beautiful story. Thanks for sharing. Small moments like that can be the best memories. And ya, I still find stealth can be difficult to this day, but was surprised going back as an adult it was easier.

5:36 It's so funny to me that Coyote Time got it's name from Wile, was then incorporated to games like Donkey Kong Country, and is now a full-blown game mechanic with a tutorial when it returns to it's roots here.

Fun fact: if you turn off autosave before buying bonuses, you can technically see everything with only 3 time clocks. Moreover, the "unlocks" of the bonus levels are merely guides to where they are. If you can find them without the hint, no need to buy them.

Back in the days my friends and I used to trade games temporarily , I simply picked this one because it was the only one that I haven't tried yet and didn't expect much. Because by then I was used to avoid games based in movies and tv series, always too simple, half assed, and poorly polished. But I was so wrong with this one, wasn't a "copy-pasted" character in a plataform game, it had mechanics and gameplay that were too innovative for its time, the aesthetics of the levels were just like the cartoons, and many of the failed/succesful attempts were funny "oh of course" moments because it fit with cartoon logic you know from the looney tunes. This game deserves a remaster for new audiences, like they did with Spyro and Crash Bandicoot.

One of the devs was listening to a lot of Jamiroquai during development, so they pitched the idea to the higher-ups, who agreed and found Eric Caspar to create a soundtrack that evokes their vibes. So while Jamiroquai didn't contribute directly, they were a major influence in the game's soundtrack.

My only issue with this is, I think they could have not made it a gameshow angle, as they could have just had the stage select be a time card. Personally, I always had the head canon that when Ralph and Sam clocked out for the day, they actually went to an irish pub run by a badger(friend of mine helped me imagine a name for him too- "Brian"... And yes, he's got about as thick an irish accent as you can imagine.), and they'd do ordinary after work talking about eachothers home life (Ralph proudly saying his daughters got her first fang, Sam talking about his gardening) and watch the game- played by rabbits and foxes on the TV. It did make me think the parts in between levels could take place at that bar in my headcanon and Sam is the one who gives out the tips, feeling that Ralphs been slipping a bit. ("Look, Ralph- I'm not telling you how to do your job- but if I see a bush moving I KNOW it's you..."/"Ralph, buddy- you gotta try mixing it up- keep me on my toes... Just saying this as a friend...") You could STILL have Daffy in there, but it just seemed a little strange to me that Ralph was on a gameshow that was basically just his 9-5 work. XD That said, this is probably one of my favorite looney tunes games of all time, and I wish it got a remaster sometime...
@battybuddy4 күн бұрын
I could also imagine the difference between if you win a level or fail a level could be that if you win, Ralphs normal, and if you lose, he's in a full-body cast or has SOME other bandages related to however he got hurt. Seeing as the game does have checkpoints for individual levers, you could get that "Failure" bit if you ended up leaving the level, or restarting it, and Ralphs just banged up based around whatever KOed him last.

Ralph Wolf is Wile’s cousin, they look similar at first but the difference is in their fur shade and nose color. Wile has light brown fur and a black nose, Ralph has dark brown fur and a red nose.

Ralph Wolf, he appears in several Looney Tunes shorts centered around a “job” where he and Sam Sheepdog work to guard sheep. It’s unclear why they’re doing it, but I assume ACME is involved.
