Have you been living under a rock? Insecurity in the north is heavily tied to politics. It has become a booming business. There are powers that be that wish to keep the north unsafe for this long, not just those in power here but outside forces as well. There was always a solution. We had the means to stop it for years now.

While agreeing totally with Mal. Shehu, added factors from the local bandits and Terrorists perspective must be acknowledged to ensure a sustainable and ethical solution: They basically see them selves as God's army opposing curropt authority and wayward Muslim leaders, wether such assumptions are true or not is left to each person's understanding. The bottom line however is sincerity and a genuine interest in collective reform and efforts of renovation must respond creatively and by the uniquely preferred moral codes of the people. The challenge of the times are myriad and deserving wide ranging solutions that critically must draw all strength from the original source of our collective moral standards of the Alqur'an and the teachings of Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him.
