Mental health is one of the hardest problems in the modern world. The illness comes without warning but the worse part is the relapse. Once it comes back, it hits you ten times harder. Almost from getting wacked with a bat to escalating to getting smashed by a truck. It's a hard battle for both the facilitators and the clients. You may get the best in the profession but it all depends on timing. Some may recover but some will never will. It's harsh but I've seen enough in my life to see it going on from bad to worse.
@LOCKEDLOADED1007 жыл бұрын
Mental health is indeed real. I have lost my mom and two uncle's to suicide. I have watched wonderful people in my life spiral downhill. This world is a very confusing place to live on. Filled with hatred and divide. It's hard not to lose hope in a world that has become so dark. My heart breaks for these lost souls on this documentary. They are simply ignored by society. Treated like trash by many that don't understand. But these lost souls hold more love in their hearts. Than many people could ever fathom. Our world is always quick to turn their backs on people that are simply lost.....................

I thought and reacted to exactly the same things. And when Elizabeth said that she thinks that people who judge are kind of dumb (and even that was said in a humble way/voice)...that also made me feel for her so much. And when she told about when she was a child (like a minute before), and how she just instantly forgave people who hurt her and still loved them totally...I could see her as a child, in her eyes, and my heart felt like breaking. What awful things she must been through. And her Mom leaving her when she was 4 or 6... And on top of it all, she always asked everyone if they wanted a cigarette, with that clear, angelic like voice of hers.... I really hope all of these kids the very best, and applaud them for staying strong and trying their best, even though life must seem very difficult, dark, unfair and there doesn’t seem much to look forward to often, I’d guess. Then again, diamonds are made under intense pressure, and things Always change. I hope they know that and are reminded of that❤️❤️❤️🙏🏼❤️❤️❤️❤️

I love Elizabeth. I don’t say this lightly but she’s an incredible human spirit (and a very gifted singer) who deserves solid trauma therapy, help, and support. I am so incredibly impressed by the people at covenant house. I am signing up to be a monthly supporter. Praying for you Elizabeth! I see you! You deserve good things and peace. I am so sorry you’ve been mistreated by people in this lifetime. You deserve love and care and to know that was NOT your fault. ❤️

I noticed that each time she happened upon music, she seemed free. She would also begin singing upon stress. Her speaking voice is so lovely, she deserves to be loved and heard. I came upon this 4 years late. I hope Elizabeth is well.

His mum moved and got his sister to tell him that they moved and he isn't getting their address? He messages her and she blocks him. Bless him. He could do really well for himself and make himself a lovely life

This made me shed tears. We complain and mope and groan about our lives and here these people are living day to day with NOTHING. Makes me appreciate what I have more than ever.

I was there at the age of 18. This place is such a blessing to young and homeless teens and young adults. Unfortunately, I saw a lot of my peers that would go straight to the French Quarters instead of job search. There was only a handful of us that did what we were supposed to. Really, you had everything that you needed there. There was a clinic inside, GED class across the street, 3 meals a day, showers, beds🤷🏾♀️ I'm not sure if they still offer it, but they also had a culinary school if you were interested in that type of field.

I sobbed throughout this whole film. I have been so lucky and blessed in my life. These people are amazing humans. I hope each and every one of these kids and the staff get everything they wish for and more.
