Yeah. It was a strange character because the game is realistic and not fantastical, but this guy seems strangely like some kind of inhuman gargoyle. Disturbed me when I played this a kid too

I’m determined to beat him or die Update: I beat him after him kicking my ass a good 10-12 times. I finally figured out the timing of his attacks. It also sucks because of how small the arcade is so it’s harder to time/parry his attacks, in the harbor he’s a piece of cake.

Gosh. This game brings back memories. Last time I played it alongside the Shenmue 2 was back in 2002. I spent nearly a month raising all my fighting styles to full advanced level on both Shenmue 1 and 2. When you reach advanced, the moves tend to change. I unlocked every secret in Shenmue 1 and 2. It takes a lot of patience.

oOBlueBubbleOo, you press the Y button to duck from an attack and follow up by pressing X and A buttons simultaneously. That's how Ryo does a somersault kick on the opponent.

I fought him once and he got stuck next to the arcade machine and couldn't walk to me so I beat him easily and didnt have to go through the pain of losing

You know that move when you press guard +kick and Ryo just slowly sticks his foot out? What is that move, what's it for, and can it be trained/improved? It doesn't show up in the moves menu.
