Cool monstertrucks. Your motor upgrade video with the Bullhead's still an inspiration for my next one. I'm in as soon they re-re it. Maybe they'll do a lexan body too. Standard or extra like in the Brat kit. But still my favorite is the Clod body.
@ShenRC18 күн бұрын
Thanks, the motors work great and are inexpensive too!

The Super Clod Buster is already a re release here in Australia now , well sorry back in 2024.

I agree that the stock ones are more fun than the all out race clods. The stock body looks awesome I don't blame you for not wanting to run it
@ShenRC15 күн бұрын
Yep I learned that the hard way after spending a ton of $ on a full blown clod!

These are not fast but a lot of fun to drive 🙂my Bullhead still stock, yours have a lot of mods. Super nice paint on the clod, no wonder you do not use it.

Those are sweet man! Wish I could find a Bull Head, or Tamiya would just remake it 😅 I love my Clod tho. Mine has a hobby wing 880 ESC, 17 turn motors, oil shocks, bearings of course, and duel axle mounted servos. Oh, and a chassis extension plate! Love the videos Steve! Keep em comin!

Yeah stock with bearings is around 10 mph. Your hard body looks great. Nice job on the paint. I built my first clod, a black edition this fall. Been waiting to buy an on axle steering setup. I can't stand the stock steering. I Should finally be able to afford it this Friday. At some point I will order 4 oil shocks for it too. I don't plan on any more mods than that.

They're both damn AWESOME Steve. I wasn't expecting these from you, i kind of thought your preference was buggies. Awesome, just out of interest how much does yhe Bull head weigh?👌
@ShenRC15 күн бұрын
it's heavy! I will get back with another reply with how much when I get the weight. 👍👍

I have a Tamiya Clod Buster, the blue limited edition one. I have not built it yet. I was wondering, how durable are they? Can it take small jumps in stock form? I was thinking about 4 wheel steering for it. I think Tamiya offers that option right out of the box. Thoughts?
@ShenRC17 күн бұрын
Hi in stock form it will be great it's not fast at all. The kit is 4W steering. I say get to building it and have fun! Thanks for watching.
@alfredyost797216 күн бұрын
@@ShenRC Awesome, thank you. I think I will get a bearing kit and 2 cheap high torque servos. No more upgrades. Thoughts?
@ShenRC16 күн бұрын
@@alfredyost7972 The kit only uses one servo I would get a 25kg amazon one, also you should definitely buy steel pinion gears the stock ones in the tamiya kits are not even worth using they are soft aluminum and wear out very fast.
@alfredyost797215 күн бұрын
@@ShenRC Awesome, thank you for the idea. I have that Amazon servo and I like it. It is good for the money. I have a tip for you. However, you need to jump on it quick. Right now, Horizon has Specktrum servos S664 for only $8.00. They have over 200 in/oz of torque. I have 4 on order now. That is a great deal. The Servos have metal gears and bearings too. Thoughts?
@ShenRC15 күн бұрын
@@alfredyost7972 Your welcome, I am not a fan of those servos I had a few of them and a couple of them had problems. I would take a amazon 25KG over those any day of the week.
