This will be controversial as hell, but Shy Guy Beach is the only GBA retro from the flat GBA remake days that I can confidently put into A tier. Luigi Circuit and Sky Garden are definitely close to A, but they just miss it because while good they don't really have anything to avoid, and both were remade on the DS, so they were already going to be compressed down. Shy Guy Beach is simple as hell and nothing special atmosphere wise, but damn is avoiding bombs from a gaint Shy Guy pirate ship and also avoiding beach umbrellas while driving in a circle just enjoyable as hell.

You got to understand that Maple Treeway is indeed best with j### off bridge, in Mario Kart 7, you can't put the 3DS near your d### and violently shake on the j### off bridge, you just can't, but in Mario Kart Wii, whenever the j### off bridge does come here, you can put the Wiimote near your d### and shake the Wiimote to get some insane tricks off j### off bridge. I hope I gave you a compelling argument on why the Wii version of Maple Treeway is the best version.
