@@user-ng8yb9fd1k you don't have to completely cut out carbs. Always prioritize low to medium glycemic index carbs instead (they're digested slower in our bodies, leaving us fuller for longer and reducing that post-meal sleepiness caused by insulin spikes from high glycemic index or processed carbs), like brown rice, red rice, whole wheat pasta (you can even make your own with vegetables, look it up on KZbin), sweet potatoes, boiled corn, and yams. You can also incorporate more legumes like beans, lentils, chickpeas, make a quinoa-based salad (it's delicious), eat more vegetables like cabbage, zucchini, cauliflower, broccoli, carrots, opt for healthier fats like extra virgin olive oil, coconut oil, avocado (it's amazing with salads or as guacamole!), and nuts. If you increase your intake of animal protein, especially beef, you also tend to feel fuller for longer since our bodies take longer to digest it. I recommend checking out Tish Wonders' "balanced bowls" videos, she shares various delicious and beautiful recipes that will definitely inspire you to be more creative in the kitchen. For anyone who may be wondering what Dr. Idriss is referring to around the 08:55 mark (Dr. Jart's green, redness-canceling Cicapair) -- she's referencing Color Theory. You'll want to look up something called a Color Wheel which shows what are referred to as Complementary Colors. The complementary colors will be directly across from each other on the wheel. For example, green cancels out red. Yellow will minimize purple (think under the eyes) and vice versa (purple will brighten dull/yellow undertones), etc. Happy color correcting, y'all! 😊❤

I have had rosacea all my life, and it made my teen years very difficult. Every time I endured a stressful situation (like a class presentation), my face was RED. I mean - red, like beetroot or a traffic lightning red. It made me feel very bad about myself and also developed an unhealthy relationship with cosmetics which made me look even worse. When I defended my master's thesis in front of all the professors and other students, I was so stressed out my face was RED, and no amount of foundation could hide it. It was close to a nightmare situation. Eventually, I learned that cutting out sugar and carbs helps me. My whole life I've been ashamed of my blushing problem, and I become paralyzed when it comes to situations with elevated heart rate. Also, it makes me use an excess amount of foundation and concealer daily since it makes me feel safer psychologically, even though I have realized that my redness has noticeably lessened after changing my diet.

I was recently diagnosed with rosacea and realized I suffered from it for my whole life. During my childhood and teenage years I suffered very bad ocular rosacea(eyelid dryness, inflamation and flaking, eye redness, recurrent blefaritis and dry eye). I was very lucky my cornea didn't got damaged since I suffered from this undiagnosed for 19 years. At that age I started treating my acne caused by pcos and my eye symptoms improved a lot. But being realistic, I think most of those "acne breakouts" were really rosacea episodes. I'm now 27 and in my 20's my skin got more and more sensitive (it has always been, but now is worse). Right now I'm in treatment for rosacea and been feeling a lot better. I'm very grateful with myself because even without a diagnose, I was treating my sking gently and using products that didn't make my rosacea worse.

Just an FYI for anyone with the face dandruff of rosacea, which I had in nose creases, between my eyebrows, my chin area and sometimes in my eyebrows... ketoconazole worked great in my eyebrows and it worked fast. I tried and tried for over a year to get similar results on the skin areas but it never worked. So I tried the De La Cruz "Acne Treatment" with 10% sulfur nightly. One month in, it's working beautifully!! I can wear foundation or concealer as foundation on my nose and between eyebrows and on chin and the flakes are disappearing. I couldn't be happier! I wear it only at night and thinly layer it randomly before or after my creamy retinol and Finacea. I only change one product at a time so I absolutely know this yucky and cheap sulfur product is the reason my skin dandruff is clearing. Another product I would never live without - not mentioned by Dr. Idriss in this vid - is niacinamide. I've used various brands and they all help to reduce oiliness on my T-zone and I feel it calms my cheek redness. I use a liquid spray in the humid months and a gel-based niacinamide in drier months. But the niacinamide and ketoconazole never cleared my skin dandruff (although they helped a bit). Only the sulfur is making the visible difference. Finally, I LOVE baby butt paste to calm any irritation and burning feeling from unavoidable rosacea flares that won't calm on their own. I can't get the Triple Paste (12.8% zinc ox) brand in Canada but I've used other brands and they work too (e.g. The Ordinary's ~5-6.4% zinc ox sunscreen sadly discontinued was my fave, Eucerin Healing Cream for babies with zinc ox 15%, and even Hello Bello Diaper Rash Cream at 40% zinc ox). They all absolutely calm and restore me to baseline, well controlled rosacea. Thanks so much for this video, Dr. Idriss!!

I always learn soooo much from you. Mil gracias!! I only wish your depuffer didn’t have niacinamide 😢, my sensitive skin can’t handle niacinamide even though it’s supposed to support with redness?!?! Also, would you be able to do an anti-aging routine for rosacea/sensitive skin?!?! 💕

I always hope when I run out to the store without any make up on the people believe I’ve just laid out and got a sunburn. And not that there’s some thing weirdly wrong with me. It’s very sad.

I feel grateful for my own Dermatologist. Last year I suddenly broke out in what I thought was adult acne. My Derm took one look at my photos and was like "nope, that's Papulopustular Rosacea". I tried the antibiotic route, which gave me severe anxiety as well as a mild blood nose (which I've literally never had happen before/not normal for me), so internal antibiotics are an absolute no-go for me personally. If you suffer from general anxiety issues, just be aware antibiotics can potentially worsen it and if so, speak to your doctor. I am now on Soolantra and Elidel cream, both working very well for me so far BUT you have to stick with it long term, Ivermectin (Soolantra) often needs a few months of use to work properly and not just a couple weeks. For me, OTC skincare was not adequate for controlling my type of Rosacea.

Oh my goodness. I cannot tell you how helpful this was. I never thought I had rosacea but everytime you mentioned something else was "yes my face does that". I am so excited now to finally start treating this situations. I used to use Nizotal shampoo all the time. I even did the the ng with bringing it by my nose but it was too harsh. Anyway....thank you for this informatiin

Rosacea sufferers should get tested for nickel allergy. Nickel in your body (by food or contact with touching) will cause inflammation in other areas such as your face. Just learned this and learning how to remove nickel from my diet.

Sometimes my rosacea really catches me off guard, like when we traveled to a high-altitude town in Utah. My skin was SO irritated and red and now I travel with ALL my goodies so I can treat a flare up anywhere. Other times, like when it's very hot outside (California summers) and you're at an event-- sigh! "No, everyone! I am NOT drunk! ...or having a heat stroke!"

I used to work with a woman who would poke fun at me when I flushed red, and my Rosacea had JUST started! I barely turned red back then, I had the most perfect skin (and she had told me a short while before this, she said "You have such pretty skin!" I KNOW she didn't like me! She was a little older than I am (I think she thought I was stealing some of our male coworkers attention away from her!

I have had rosacea since my 20s (actually started after a wide spread staph infection that I had on my face) so in the years I studied a lot and learnt how to control it. So another really good product that combines zinc oxide and Centella is the Cosrx Centella Blemish Cream, again not something you'd go out to work with but definitely calms redness and the spots related to rosaces without clogging pores. If you live in the UK/EU another great product that has been working amazingly well (better than some prescriptions I used in the past) is the Sachi Skin Pro-resilience Serum, it literally calms my skin in 10 minutes and even though expensive it is worth every penny!

I have become so sensitive that I can't wear any makeup right now and I am in the middle of an extreme flare. I use a prescription Ivermectin/Metronidazole compound. Which product that you have listed would you suggest that I begin with for some over the counter additional support?

I have rosacea, No papules or bumps. My doc prescribed me tretinoin .025 and increased me to .05. I'm able to tolerate it, but sometimes, my cheeks get really flushed. He prescribed that for the sebaceous filaments and blackheads on my nose and chin. I also use Paula's choice bha every other day. Just bought Naturium Azelaic 10% and plan to stop the BHA. I use Delacruz and triple paste on Sundays!

Had to up the dose to 100 mg recently due to seasonal allergies layered on top of the rosecia. That seems to be working for now but I expect that will change as my treatment has changed through the years as my skin has changed. Thank you again for your content and your product line. It’s made a huge difference!

I used a Ketoconazole shampoo to threat a dandruff in my ears (that I think was triggered by niquel allergy, but I am not sure because I did not see a doctor) that remained for months even though I stopped using earings. One day using it and it improved 90%!! I think in the next two days it will be gone! Thank you!
I used the 10% from The Ordinary for 8 years. I had a bad flare and found 20% through Dermatica. But the game changer for me was a random 17% aPAD from Amazon. And it's a thin serum, so I can wear it under whatever I want.

I have had terrible rosacea all my life. I’ve been using Drunk Elephant A-Passioni retinol cream and (to my surprise) whenever I use it I wake up with nice even skin tone and no red cheeks. First, I thought it’s a coincidence, but now having applied it throughout this past winter, I can tell that’s the cream that helps to calm my skin! Is it something in that cream, because I don’t believe it’s retinol itself that does that? 😅
