This is the best explanation of Retinoids I have ever come across. I used Paula’s Choice for years and eventually (after 10 years) decided it was not working anymore. Then a few years ago switched to Differin. Because of this talk I switched to Retinal and currently using Medik8 and Avene in two different strengths. What a difference in my 80 year old skin! It is never too late to improve. Thank you very much.

I didn't know how to tag two people in a comment, anyway. Sooo after the Ordinary one I got the one from The Inkey List. More powerful, but only because I didn't find the one from LÓreal she keeps mentioning. I also bought a tretinoin one, I don't know if it's region based (Europe), but it's called Mask Plus acne gel - it also has an antibiotic and glicolic acid, so it's a treatment really but you can buy it without prescription. So yeah, the last one works great, it's pretty powerful but if combined with a good moisturizer it's brilliant because the first few days my face was dryer than Sahara. I might revert back to the Inkey list one after the treatment, as it's milder and I think it would work great at maintaining the amazing results I just got from the tretinoin one. Hope this helps both of you.
@iskandra3 жыл бұрын
Also, forgot to mention, I used the inkey list one while I was in vaycay before starting the treatment and the texture is awesome, doesn't really smell like anything (the tretinoin one smells very medical-ly probably because of the antibiotic), and the slightest amount is enough for the whole face (if any of you end up going for this one, I'd recommend applying it bit by bit to the face so you can then estimate how much you need for the whole thing, just to not waste or risk overapplication due to not estimating correctly).

Another thing Dr. Idriss advised was Minoxidil 5% for hair growth and slowly but surely I am seeing my hair is growing back. The astrology reference gave me an idea... Tell me what u guys think! Aries: glycolic acid (classic, strong, great results but you need to be careful. Strong!) Taurus: retinoids (be careful, if you push too hard they WILL push back. But if you keep boundaries, they'll reliably slowly fix almost everything lol) Gemini: Azelaic (so versatile - antibacterial, comedolytic, anti-inflammatory. Only gets left out of the conversation because its impossible to work with (hard to formulate)) Cancer: Hydroquinone (controversial, some ppl call them "toxic". Feels like you're walking on eggshells, but can yield unparalleled results if you can strike the magical balance) Leo: lactic (a bit basic, but delivers a more calm punch than aries, making it more tolerable. You'll feel hydrated and glowing with lactic in your friend group - superstar even though it isn't that chemically fascinating) Virgo: glycerin (so "boring" you barely even think about it - but when you do, you realize it makes up the entire foundation of your routine and is a superstar) Libra: Hyaluronic acid (aesthetic... tolerated by everyone, ultimately a bit basic though. Immediate satisfaction if you want to feel cute!) Scorpio: Ascorbic acid (mystical, can do so many things in theory, but very fussy and hard to cooperate with. Be careful or you'll get stung) Sag: Mandelic (somehow always forgotten, but is actually so cool and versatile - brightening, antimicrobial, water AND lipo-soluble. Def underrated and a total firecracker powerhouse) Capricorn: Niacinamide (brilliant basics. Can help almost everyone with almost anything, just not the most wow-factor. But we still all respect its genius in accessibility, and hard-working nature) Aquarius: tranexamic (ahead of its time. Some ppl call BS and think they won't live up to any claims) Pisces: salicylic (honestly so therapeutic. Probably one of the best anti-acne ingredients, but gets left out because it isn't fancy. Will always be there for you though)

Thank you for your videos! I've learned so much during this year. I was wondering about microcurrent devices: the science behind what they do, their efficacy, target audience, brand/type recommendations. I used to assume they were more novelty than actually effective, but then I saw you use one in a video. Thank you!

I like the fact you have evidence to support your claim . After Dr dray ur my next online. Dr Dray helps women to save money she has No bullshit or support expensive brand and get paid for useless products. Products she recommends are Mainly she use since she was young and I love how she review expensive useless products and opening peoples eyes and not to fall for marketing.

Geek&Gorgous also has a retinal serum (in two strenghts: 0.05% and 0.1%) and it is my favourite! It is also quite affordable (€12.50 and €18.50, respectively), compared to Avene and Glytone. They are from Hungary and ship internationally!

You always give great ideas for not very strong retinol products from the drugstore but how about a strong one that is not a prescription. I live in a rural area and not a lot of doctors so drugstores are much easier. Thanks, love ALL your videos ❤️

Today, I went back to this absolutely perfect video to re-solidify my knowledge. Thank you so much. I appreciate you so much and also have enjoyed your Major Fade products. I don’t get hyperpigmentation but I wanted to try your products anyway to experience them and support you. Thanks for all that you do.

We use mostly retinoic acid (tretinoin) here in Brazil, because you can buy without a presciption and is also very cheap.
