I take that she's saying everyone should cool their jets expecting her or anyone to come into a professional league and instantly become the greatest thing to ever touch it. It'll be a process. Breanna Stewart, came in and dominated, got a championship in year 2. Aja Wilson dominates both sides of the floor. Sheryl Swoopes seems like an out of touch critic, because how tf don’t you realize that in your own sport, most of the elite talent, come in, and become star players right away? WNBA players come in after 4 years of college, and are typically ready to transition to being all-star level. Caitlin Clark is one of the sharpest shooters I’ve ever seen, and that shooting should be the one thing that translates right away. I don’t even like comparing NBA to WNBA in regards to talent, because the pool is so much wider, but elite WNBA talent usually can boost a team a lot faster than NBA. Hypothetically, any team that takes Caitlin, will be on the rise very quickly, while San Antonio is going to be a few years before we see Wemby start to breakthrough the top teams in the west.
