8:45 it is actually done properly, having the texture inside the box gives some parallax illusion with the window in front. So when the camera moves, it looks like the reflection is moving along the glass windows. If it was on the window itself, it would just look like some weird painted thing

The fact that the Catcher's mitt is the one that says Baseball and the pitcher's doesn't is something that actually makes sense. I feel like gaming has hit it's peak, just listening to the soundtrack in the background, watching the video showing off the game, remembering how life fulfilling the Wii was... It really cannot be beat. The switch is an awesome bit of kit, but the Wii just cannot be beat. The only thing I think will truly bring back that feeling the Wii gave is to remake it entirely with the exact same games, higher resolution and graphics, but with the option to put the graphics and resolution down to get that full feeling of the early 2000s. Either that, or release Switch Sports, it's a no brainer!

@specialopsdave2 жыл бұрын
Fun fact, entire 2D video games worked this way on the PlayStation 1, because it had no 2D rendering hardware at all on board. All it could do graphically is render triangles and texture them in a 3D environment, so to fake 2D, it either renders a rectangle (made of 2 triangles) and textures it with the game output, or each sprite is its own set of 2 triangles.
