This took me straight back to detoxing on a mat on the floor of a jail cell and being in the lowest place of my life. My rock bottom. No way to talk to anyone on the outside. Alone. And boom my sister showed up for a visit. That visit pulled me through. I have no clue what we talked about for that 10 minutes but I remember how grateful I felt for her presence. That was 9 years ago and I'm still clean. She is still my biggest cheerleader. Edit: Thank you all for the love! I definitely make sure she knows how important she is to me. I was just the maid of honor in her wedding last month. Something I would never have been able to if I wasn't clean. Being able to stand beside her meant more than I could express. For those of you still in the struggle don't stop trying. No matter how many times you have fallen get back up and try again. You are worth it and one day it will click and you will get there. It will feel like you are walking through hell but I promise when you get to the other side you will realize that it's a cake walk compared to what you are dealing with every day living that life. What keeps me from going back is not having my first thought as soon as I wake up being how am I going to get high today. It's exhausting being a addict and a full time job. Keep trying because it's so worth it. You are worth it.

I had nearly 10 years of family beef I held in, trying to keep the peace with my crazy family and hold them together for as long as I could. I was ONLY 10!! It was nearly impossible seeing family die, the blame, and bullying from all fronts. It beat the fuck out of me to the point where I broke down one day when the last problem was solved, with tears just pouring down my cheeks. Nobody knew what I did until then...

I did something similar to a group of 3 young lads in the pub I worked at. They were semi well dressed and just sat drinking, played pool, didn't cause any hassle, but they were there for 5 hours at this point. I went over and asked how they were doing, and they said it was their father's funeral. Nothing much you can say to help, but I asked when they had last eaten anything. I went out to the kitchen and came back with a plate of chips and sandwiches, got them some water and left them to it. I still talk to them now, they didn't need a speech or a massive gesture, just a act of kindness and understanding. It goes a long way.

Lost my husband ,swiftly thinking he was going in for surgery first hospital knew how bad it was never told me. I had no time with him. Barely remember the next three days. I can't drive. Legally blind.no licence. Ride best friend left me hanging ,call a friend neighbor down he sent his mom to take me to my church witch I did not know he wasn't at funeral home.i feel some kinda way sometimes about situations still.but try to get up every day. Just get up. I am alone was alone for 4 years now over the last year I've built up to get out side with the dogs, out to town more. . My mom in law and dad in law called brought food helped me just try to survive but I had to try to start doing on my own I felt. Realized no one can do this life completely alone. No matter how badly we wish we could some days...we need that contact, type of control with who we choose may not be there. But that kindness makes a difference..it always hurts.my husband was my rock losing my dad killed tractor accedent.jason was the one person got me thru. No matter how in 27 years of being together and married Jason was there. When that rock is gone. It changed your world for ever. Wishing you well. All the love.. remember just get up. The day will pass. Some light will filter thru.yed there will be dark days. But keep moving .nothen has to be perfect and it never had to be. Just move. Realize the world your world is different.sorry again. God bless you. Keep paying if forward it helps. If nig got the kindness of others how could we make it. In some area of our lives.. Sorry so long and detailed. This month March the 28 the my birthday he will be gone 4 years.april 5th is our wedding anniversary, This just hit alittle harder.

I was in rehab when my mom passed. Family so mad at me for relapsing, they didn't include me. Didn't tell me she was on death bed, didn't let me come to her memorial and basically said I was dead to them. So, the day my mom passed (xmas eve 2011) I basically lost not just mom, but my dad, brother and sister! It's been nearly 11 yrs, and nothing. That year, on Xmas, I was summoned to the front desk, for a phone call. My BFF had seen my mom passed on facebook. I had 47 days clean & sober. I took the phone and she said "can you sit down?" And I cannot articulate the physical sensations that ran thru me! Utter helplessness, complete despair that had no where to go...I think I went into shock, I couldn't think, my brain scrambled into mush, I didn't sleep for 3 nites, and ended up dislocating my clavicle doing too many exercises! Shia is so right! My dad said at 88 he didn't have the time to learn to trust me again (I had had 13 yrs, when relapsed) he turned 91 in 22. I have lost nearly 12 years now trying to punish me for the family. Hospitalized 3 x. Long story short....in August 22 I saw a saying somewhere...said "don't be bitter, be better" and for some reason, it hit home! 😀 I am now on my own path, nearly 12 yrs of self loathing is going to be over! I don't like myself, hate me at times, been suicidal too many times, and reckless with breaking the law! Because I am an outcast, not even my blood/family can stand me! But I am tired of being the martyr. I am very afraid of me going into recovery....I question my ability to be honest with myself, my self worth is in the negative....but now I want to know me, I want to like me, I'm ready to move on, w/o the family. I am going to work on being BETTER as being BITTER is a horrible place to be!! I'm almost excited to shed this sorry excuse of a human being and become something better, someone worthy, someone with integrity. My family? Will cross that bridge should the opportunity ever come up. But I can now move on, having let go of those that are bitter towards me. Big hugs to anyone out there feeling alone!

Ya know I feel so much love for this guy. I can relate so much. I was graduating from the Marine Corps boot camp and I got some news that my parents were coming but as the graduation went on I didn’t see nobody in my family. I was the only person there that didn’t even have one person attend my ceremony. I was heartbroken I didn’t even care anymore about my accomplishment. Then out of nowhere my friend that I graduated with his family member gave me a hug and told me congratulations but the only thing I could do was fight so so hard to hold back the tears that nobody was there for me. And what hurts even worse is that my dads new girlfriends son joined and when he graduated her and my dad attended. You talk about a hurt beyond any hurt. God bless you Shia

I just couldn't scroll past your comment. It hit me right in the heart. I'm proud of your accomplishment! What you did was no small thing. I supported a drill sergeant through 2 years of making soldiers so I saw what it takes to be on that field. Watching someone go through it is exhausting so I can only imagine how hard it is to do. I attended every graduation to see each recruit become a soldier. I wanted to look out at all of you and see first hand what my, my son's and their father's sacrifices paid for. When his drill trail was over our marriage was done in as well. Almost half of the cadre ended their drill trail divorced or separated. My point is, just like the wind, you can't see all your supporters. We're here nonetheless and I hope my message reaches you and helps you FEEL that we're here. Thank you for transforming yourself into one of our country's many heros! Not sure how far back your graduation was. My family loves to support our heros. If you're still in or deployed, holler back if you need support and we got you FAM. You're NEW family was there watching you and standing ALL around you the entire time. We're all over the globe and you're a part of it for life! If you're done with serving happy belated Veterans Day 🇺🇲

I said go home and get some I even lol and it was all I could do to keep from showing the terrible feeling I had that I came back to no one. I survived to come back to nothing. So I understand man. I'm good now but that terrible feeling when I recall it like I am now feels the exact same it did those many years ago. Learn from it and be better. He became a devoted catholic and is working with Mel gibson for the sequel to the passion of christ what happens after the death of Jesus. I don't know what happened that really made him snap. But he's been doing alot of good and he's a genuine guy

@@dethtour its because he was moved. Touch by grace. Nothing compares. And you seek obedience to continue to be in God's presence. So obedience is better than sacrifice of the fatted ram. Means obedience is better than asking forgiveness. Because you are aware of both.

After you take your last breath are you going to heaven or hell? Please ask yourself that question. Jesus can save your soul from hell. He will forgive your sins. He said whoever calls upon his name shall be saved. Call upon Jesus today. Repent and believe the gospel.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8 4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.
