Well outside of just being a terrible shot I think the Comp and the front sight make a large difference.

@@averagemarksman All jokes aside, there is some humor to watching guntubers take a modified toaster and outperform a navy seal and then review a 5k race gun. Like some people are so crazy good you can't tell if a comp is doing anything, or anything about the gun haha. Edit: just made it to the end of the video. Honestly one of the more helpful videos for us mere mortals to get an idea of how it feels.

Like I wrote before, I've comp'd all my pistols except for the M&P 5.7(because it's back in its original case because S&W mags don't work). Especially if you're running a dot on something with a small window like a RMSc footprint optic, the comp helps keep the dot in the window on snappy small guns. Even if it's only helping 1 degree of angle, that turns into 9 inches at 15 yards which is how far my MGM Spinner is.

I just can’t say I’m the biggest fan of it on a carry pistol. Maybe I’ll come around.

@@averagemarksman it’s a faxon exos 524 I believe is the number. A faxon match grade threaded barrel also. I don’t have enough rounds through it to carry it yet but I have about 400 rounds 100% reliability. I’m gonna take a red dot class next Saturday and if it runs nice for another 300-400 I’ll carry it.

Glock 48 with an apex trigger, tritium sight, grip tape, and an aftermarket comp is my main competitor to this. But that setup is a fair bit more expensive than just buying the Smith. But I like the Glock grip angle. Be very interested to hear your thoughts if you ever get to shoot the carry comp!

Can you compare the shield plus pc ported 4 inch vs the shield plus comp? I want to see if the comp is actually an upgrade or just another option for the shield plus. Don't like ported pistols for carry; they're great for the range. If you have to shoot from a compressed position, close to your face or in a car, hot gases and gunpowder shooting up from the comp and lost velocity and it's louder. We know how important velocity is for expansion of hollow points
