Glad to hear about the cons as well as the pros. The facts that it’s louder than a non-comped gun, front-heavy and runs hot are really good to know. I may opt for the regular Shield Plus 3.1” instead. 🤔

I just picked up the m&p metal carry comp last week and it’s become one of my favorite pistols, and so far, I’ve been eyeing the shield carry comp now, I carry a P365XL specter comp, never owned or shot a shield though.

I’m a big fan of the shield. The series doesn’t get as much love as the P365. It’s not nearly as “cool” or modular.

@@averagemarksman I have two Shield Pluses. A 3.1" inch PC and a 4" PC. Those are my carry guns. I think I want this too. I like them better than the p365 series, although I do have the XL.

There’s not much of a difference in the two. The recoil strong is the only thing I noticed at a quick glance.

Awesome to see! I liked my original shield plus a lot! However.. I wanted the 4in because holsters are better (for me) with a longer slide. So I have a p365 legion right now. I kinda wanna pick up the shield plus for when I need a little more capability Plus you mentioned the fuse fits in the tenicor shield plus holster. My favorite holster

The longer holster does seem to carry a little bit better for me as well. I'll make another video comparing the Fuse to the Shield Carry Comp and have the holster on the table when I do it. I was surprised to see it fit so nicely.

Some people are saying the trigger on the shield is not the same as the full sized metal comp carry.

Not at all. It’s a typically small frame carry gun trigger. Far heavier than the full size carry comp. I’ll make a video with the trigger scale.

I own the stock shield plus (not Performance Center like this one is) and it has one of the best stock triggers I’ve ever felt. Granted, I’ve shot more Glocks than anything, but I’ve done my fair share of dry firing at gun stores. I liked it better than the full size metal. It’s a very short take up, abrupt wall, and clean break. Probably about 4.5 pounds. Tactile reset is very nice and short. Probably 4-5 mm of travel.

It’s tough to change once you’re already committed to something. Holsters, magazines, and so on. It’s expensive.

If you have a holster that works with the 3.1” and 4” version Shield Plus then it may be smart. The longer barrel makes a difference even if the port and comp perform the same.

Is the optic cut the original four post RMSc footprint or is it the modified RMSc which allows a Holosun K series optic to be mounted without an adapter plate?
