A little bit of a complicated method, im sure you could make a mp4 with images instead of animating mix values too, with the color ramp you just get a bit more control
Particle and smoke simulation settings are at the end of the video

This was actually pretty helpful, I didnt use the hieroglyphs as I used it to make a animation with someone on their phone. shifting from app to app
