Also him talking about how he was not there when his parents passed on and the regret he has for not spending more time with them hits home for me also.. Family is everything and I think in this day and age of "self righteousness" we have for the majority lost the true sight of what really matters most "Our families".. May we all reflect upon this and do what is right, and make time in our "busy lives" to reach out to the ones we love and keep a close relationship with them and cherish what little time we have here on this earth with them because life is but a vapor..🙏

Shifu Yan Lei, I am 57 years old, and I sometimes get sad that it took me so long to realize that all the materialism I struggled for, for so long, left me feeling empty, lonely and abandoned. I have no desire for it anymore. I have a new heart now, a new desire, to be free of things, to only have what I build with my own hands, to only eat what I plant, nurture, grow & harvest, whatever I fish for, or hunt, and to cook on what I forge, everything I want to make with my own two hands, not with tools another man or machine made. I only want to work for myself, on my land and focus on building and maintaining my strength, my skills, learning from men like you. You are inspiring! Don't put value in the words of those who don't value your worth, because that can block you from those who do value your worth. I lived a hard life, from birth, disease, defects, from a 9 year old child I suffered violence, I've struggled my whole life just to have everything taken from me, to be reduced in value only by what possessions I had. It's not about what we have, it's about what we do. I once was a slave to materialism, and it drained the life from me, but I am free now to pursue the things that matter.
@Cormac20235 жыл бұрын
The American Dream used to be about that, but it turned into a system in which you're entire livelihood rests upon the Elites, and if anything happens to you that impedes on your ability to jump through their hoops, you can potentially lose everything you worked for, and then you discover what a cold son-of-a-bitch the American Dream is. And then all your loved ones & friends treat you as if you were a substance abuser, or as if you have some secret addiction that caused your age and stress related health problems. LOL! What a cluster f***. The Rat Race be damned!

I relate a lot with what he says. My Master gave me an excellent example one day, "Imagine you are born with a million dollars, so you spent a lot without any care. But when you only have maybe 10 thousand or less you start to save it, but it´s already to late". You need to focus early on in life and do things that you love to do, because if you dont you won´t have enough time to achieve it when you are older. In a world where we are always focused on speed this is something that millions of people are missing.
