I want to get one, but for a good price the only one I find in stock right now is the HG which is only 7.4:1 gear ratio. Would've you waited for the XG or just gone for that one instead?

I don’t see a huge difference between the XG and the HG personally, I’d probably get there HG if you can find it at a little bit cheaper price. Both reels are still on the fast end so I would probably look into the HG.

I actually just got a an hg brand new in box from a company off of eBay for 180 instead of the normal retail 280 price

What kind/size of line do you have on that reel? Looks like well rope!

It’s 30LB Yo Suri Superbraid and I’m running like a 15Lb leader with it. It’s 8 strand braid so it looks a little thicker then it actually is.

Yo-Zuri is my favorite brand for braid. It's super smooth and strong at the same time.

​@@SlammedOutdoors unlike the curado dc the scorpion dc comes with the same adjustment as the 2016 metanium dc; which is iDC5 and give you more setting

Oh I forgot that the Scorpion has a better chip then the Curado, I think I heard the bearings and the drag is also better quality in the Scorpion.
