Oh awesome. Thanks for being a sub. Man that's a very tough choice because they are both on the same level. It depends what I'm going to fish for and where I'm going to fish for them. If I'm going to be fishing open water and tossing artificials lures all day I'd take the vanquish. But if I'm going to fish a little of everything open water and structure I'd take the twin power.

Nice video! I just got my Twin power C3000xg yesterday and cant wait to try it out! I usually fish with 2 setups, one with a paddletail and one with a topwater. On my secondary setup I have a Sustain Hg and I was thinking of upgrading that to either the Vanquish or just getting another Twinpower after feeling how smooth it is compared to the Sustain. I was wondering how the Vanquish compares?

Thanks I appreciate it. I normally run 3 set ups. Topwater , soft plastic and a suspending. But it's funny you mention all those reels. I'm actually selling my sustain for another twin power. But tonight I was actually messing with both the Twin Power and Vanquish for about 20 30 minutes getting ready for tomorrows trip. Both feel absolutely amazing honestly the only noticable difference I really can tell between the two is the vanquish is noticably lighter in weight. Open water im grabbing the vanquish Structure or a " due all " situations I'm grabbing the twin power all day. Both are definitely smoother then the sustain

@artificialslinger9730
@artificialslinger9730 18 күн бұрын
Honestly probably the same because they are both core solid reels. But theres a 2 things that added that I absolutely love that I didn't think I would. 1. The slow oscillation And 2. The line roller fin. The slow oscillation makes such a big improvement on how the line lays so darn perfect on the spool and makes casting so much more " easier ". I barely put any energy into my cast and can still get 30 yards with ease ( that's just a example of testing it out on my own ) And The fin under the line roller bearing / bail keeps the line from getting a limp so when you are in a hurry ( for example see Redfish or something ) you reel in super fast and cast back out or it's a windy day while feeling you don't have to worry about loose loops nearly as often as with a standard bail system. And with the two they both help cut down wind knots even more.

With this reel and the certate on the daiwa side, I have a hard time justifying going for the stella or exist as both of these reels feel pretty much on the same level as their flagships. You can't go wrong with either imo, just based on personal preference.

I'm with you. I bought 2 Stella FJs when they came out because the Stella was a reel Ive always wanted since I was a kid. Now that I have them I honestly don't recommend buying them unless someone personally really wants to drop that much or is a dream reel like it was for me. I can't wait to see what the new Vanford will look like and bring to the table. Hopefully little stronger frame.

Hi, after you already spent some time with the TP 24 how would you compare it to the TP XD in terms of sensitivity? The XD having a lighter I suppose it is transferring more feedback to your hand?

@artificialslinger9730 20 күн бұрын
Honestly I still prefer this new twin fe over the xd. For me the xd is great but just dont have that solid feel to it. I'm hoping the next xd ( which should be next year I believe ) has more of a solid feel to it. I miss the stradic ci4+ so much. Those reels feel so much better then the Vanford and Xd imo. I also like that fe has the slow oscillation and the line roller fin.

Yeah the FD is a great reel. The twins are definitely better then the stradic by a mile. The 2 big differences between the twin FD and FE for me is the fin under the line roller and the slow oscillation. To me those are so worth the upgrade from the FD.

how well would it hold up in the salt? on the feature in japans shimano site it says its saltwater OK..but it has the same water resistance features as a stradic FL which isnt saltwater rated.
@artificialslinger9730
@artificialslinger9730 Ай бұрын
It will do just fine for saltwater. Honestly you can use freshwater reels in saltwater as well. Just have to rinse them off with freshwater well and maintenance them every so often. But the Stradic FL and the newest Stradic FM are saltwater approved as well. Even though shimano says " freshwater " the stradics are built with corrosion resistant parts. I've actually sunk my Stradic multiple times chasing snook under docks and its still smooth as butter Here's a clip of me with a Stradic FL kzbin.info/www/bejne/m4qYiGt9gJiBgKMsi=O8qGPI_xZUKVDPuC

How does a Stradic fm compare to it?
@artificialslinger9730
@artificialslinger9730 17 күн бұрын
The stradic FM is a beautiful reel on its own. But definitely in a lower league then the twin power. The stradic is like an Audi while the twin power is like a Porsche. Twin power has few more bells and whistles and better parts which makes it more durable and way better longevity. My favorite feature the twin power has over the stradic is the slow oscillation. This gives the twin a way better line lay for better casting , smoother casting and smoother drag runs with bigger fish.

I choose Shimano over Daiwa because their reels are super smooth, no wind knots. For me their spool technology made the choice easy. "Shimano ARC Spool is a patented spool design with an angled spool lip. This design enables the line to leave the spool with less friction and in smaller coils resulting in longer more accurate casts. ARC spools are proven to reduce backlash and wind knots when using braid." That's it, game over for the competition in my wallet.

@artificialslinger9730
@artificialslinger9730 Ай бұрын
No it's about on par with all my other Shimanos . Check your drag cap and see if there's little bit of grease on the rubber piece. Also if you can I'd take the drag stack apart make sure there's no little spurs or anything that might make it feel like that as well
@Jack-tn8im
@Jack-tn8im Ай бұрын
@@artificialslinger9730 There is a lot of grease actually on the drag cap (part number 145NP) but even when try to turn it in my hand out of the reel I have to put significantly more effort to turn it. It is just the cap, I can always buy the part once it will become available. Don't want to go back and forth with digitaka as I would have to probably pay the postage that is not cheap from the UK to Japan. Perhaps it is some sort of OCD on my part 😂 but it is harder to turn comparing to Vanquish, Vanford, Exsense and even the Untegra by far.

I don’t know of any reel that will cast 200yards why does any bass angler need 200yards of line unless they like to waste line. And well I use cheap filler line just by a smaller reel that uses less line
@artificialslinger9730
@artificialslinger9730 2 ай бұрын
The amount of line has nothing to do with casting It's rather or not the reel is under spooled , filled perfectly or over spooled. If underspooled casting distance will get cut alot If filled perfectly you will have great casts and performance If over spooled you'll get knots I agree bass anglers don't need 200 yards. But for inshore fishing for big redfish ,snook and smaller tarpon you definitely want that 200 yards. But for most inshore fishing only really need about 150 yards. What I normally do is use backing ( i.e. filler ) for about 50 yards and add that 150 yards of braid. But with any new reel I always top it off with as much as braid to see how much I can get on it comfortably without it getting knots and impeding the casting distance.

I fish near a dam for stripers and of course the fish is in the other side of the bank. I have to cast 175-180 yards to get there with a 2oz spoon. My 4000 Stradic is spooled with ~280 yards.
