I love mine. I now have 4 total. Three 2500 and one 2000 (for the travel rod). Great, smooth reels. They can take saltwater too.

Gonna buy a vanford, but i dont know witch size. Would 2500 be too big for a 8fot Shimano speedmaster 3-14g? Im fishing trout and pike

No I don't think it would be too big. That Vanford is a very strong reel.

Thanks for your review, I bought 2 new Vanford, one of them a 500f micro reel for my crappie rod. I sold my Ci14’s on eBay. They sold for a great price. So I didn’t end up with too much more in the new ones. I did keep my Stradic FL, she’s super smooth as well.

Since they're both about the same price, I'd go with the Vanford. Sealed drag, long throw spool, lighter weight. I love mine. Ordered a second.

The Vanford sounds like a great reel and I like the extra casting distance you get with it. A little pricy for my budget but I am a firm believer in buying the best gear you can afford . That floating tripod is a neat addition to your filming equipment. Forgot the Hawg Trough, oh well, fishing for fun today.

I totally agree about getting the best gear you can afford. I prefer to get the super light weight stuff. Less wear and tear on me. I hope I can get the aim down with the floating tripod. I put an index mark on it so I can tell which way the camera is facing now. I'll give it another try! Thanks Don

Thought I seen it all, first time I saw you getting youre order Vanford. Guess this Lady luv fishing, now I see you fishing amazing youre knowledge about this gear and youre way of doing your thing. Great Quality video footage and intro, make me want too see more 😍 Youre wunderfull even I dont know you, but been on this planet awhile and luv Stradics too. Got me 2 mouths ago the Stradic 1000 FL got this long spool too before the vanFord, little bit heavyer alu sideplates like the FK but in 1000 size its no probs and cast really great make a differens. Got my 1000/2500 ci4 too but this long stroke spool Stella feature in the vanStradic line-up upgrade makes casting pretty nice " vanFord 😂😂😂 must be ¥ translation issue 👍🇳🇱👍240

Luv both even the Fl is looking optic much better. Its really the choice in weight, like lightweight gear to fish more sensitiv way. Got me baitcasing set Poison JDM Adrena BFS with Aldebaran XG BFS also superlight if you like baicasting too.

You will love the new Vanford reel.... even if you don't love the silly name. hahaha. The foam is a life saver. I lost a rod & reel in the lake a few years ago. It sank to the bottom and I'm sure it's still there. I started putting the foam on after that. I've dropped a rod one time since then. No problem because it floats now.

not sure what you mean. do you mean unwanted movement in the spool? I don't find any play. Everything is very tight and no excess play. It has the longer spool which means more spool movement but the tolerances are very good. It's a great reel. I've been using it for over 3 years now and still love it.

Just ordered one for my zodias rod. I lost a zodias with the stradic ci4+ and a dobyns with a curado reel on a very unfortunate river trip last summer. I'm still pissed about it. Never underestimate the power of moving water 🤣👍.......nice video.

I went ahead and ordered my second Vanford since I already know I'm getting one. They actually took 15% off the price even though it's on the "EXCLUDED ITEMS" list. Not sure why they did it. I like the 4000 Syncopates for the heavier lures as they fly farther and so more line capacity with the next size spool/reel. I also have another reel in the 3000 size, which is the same size as the Syncopate 4000. My main reels are the 2500 Syncopates. The Vanford and Stradic are WAY above my expense allowence

I've never used a Syncopate. If it's Shimano, I'm sure it's good quality for the price point. The only problem with getting the bigger reels is the added weight. Probably not an issue for most folks but with my dang shoulder, I feel every bit of it.
