HHH was a dick. That goes without saying. He is the boss or at least boss light now in the only worldwide wrestling promotion in the world because TNA is on the way out. Everyone hates HHH because he's shit, Bret Hart says he's shit. he is shit because his match with Reigns at mania was basically a Smackdown main event because all his matches are punches, high knee's and pedigrees. Sometimes he hides his predictive, repetitive, boring style by hitting someone with a sledgehammer, but that don't make him a good wrestler, it just means he has guys doing everything to make him a god. That's how he became famous. But as a wrestler its the same shit. HHH has the same match one on one whether its a match on smackdown or a wrestlemania main event. Punch, kick, high knee pedegree. Enjoy :)

@Damien Jones That’s not necessarily true. Prior you had great bouts involving AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, Kurt Angle. You had Christopher Daniels and a lot of the X Division which had been laying the groundwork for a unique product distinct from the established alternative. TNA always kinda felt like a refugee camp for the Monday Night Wars with Jeff Jarret and Sting, etc - but even that wasn’t automatically bad. Sting had a good run there for a while as an established vet. It was a slow-burn, not necessarily steady but for a couple of years TNA was on a good path that might’ve made them financially viable and a tangible alternative within the decade. Especially given how WWE would experience a waning period. Hogan brought quick, intense buzz. It brought the eyes of the curious and those eyes came - they saw the sideshow - and they promptly found the egress. It was short lived buzz. That’s not inherently bad, a lot of those eyes might’ve come for Hogan but stayed for other aspects of the product but they had to change the product substantially to secure Hogan - so what you have is a catch 22. Bring in Hogan to get some quick, helpful buzz and bring new eyes to the product - but to bag Hogan you have to change that product, which throws things into disarray and gives little cause for wish-washy newcomers to stay while also pissing off many longtime viewers.

Bret and Shawn confirmed they were friends on the road when they were in each others tag teams. Bret came from wrestling royalty so he came in the WWE with cache and was also a hard worker. I also think Bret just sees Shawn as selfish but he was openly an ass to everyone and on drugs. Triple H was pretty much straight edged and played the game and was sneakier. +dalila melendez  Everyone says that Nash is a cool, laid-back easy going guy as long as he wasn't around the Kliq. They say of all the members of the Kliq he was the friendliest one; all you mostly ever heard about Michaels, Hall and Waltman was about how pilled up and out of it they were most of the time, when Waltman wasn't busy shitting in people's bags or dinner boxes and NOBODY in the locker room liked Hall. A lot of other wrestlers felt that he kind of looked like he was bullied into a lot stuff by Michaels and Hall. I actually liked him as WWF champion back in 1995 despite the shape that the company was in at the time (Mantaur, Xanta Claus, Tekno Team 2000???). He sure had the look of being a champ. If you ask me, a lot of times during his WCW run, he looked bored, and about the time he had backstage power the company was sinking anyway and just did what he wanted. If upper management didn't give a damn what happened on Nitro, why should he, hence the Fingerpoke Of Doom. I did mark out when I heard his entrance music at the 2011 Royal Rumble and he entered as Diesel though.

It makes me smile any time Bret mentions AJ Styles, because AJ really did earn his reputation, and Bret knows his stuff. I'm really glad I got to see him wrestle in person 20 years ago at 1PW (back before the name 1PW didn't have any stigma attached to it), not just because I could meet him and get a photo with him and Christopher Daniels, but because his matches were electrifying. He had the best matches of those shows. The crowd knew it as well, AJ had the "it" factor, and incredible chemistry with any wrestler he was pit against. An incredible blink-and-you'll-miss-it match with Jerry Lynn (another favourite from back in the day), some really fun matches against Samoa Joe and Christopher Daniels, and David VS Goliath matches against The Monster Abyss. My favourite thing about those matches was how well-liked everyone was, and the crowd chants were just as loud for everyone (sometimes even coming from the same people). But one of the coolest things that ever happened at 1PW, was getting to see AJ and Chris form a tag team. The history those two had at the time made their pairing-up even more electrifying. It was like watching Mario and Sonic teaming up (before that concept got delegated to lame olympic minigames). And I'm glad Bret's hopes came true, because AJ deserved to finally make it onto WWE, as did Joe. It's a shame the company never paid Christopher Daniels his dues, but at least he's thriving in ROH.

Kind of an unfair comparison honestly. Bret Hart was the WWF's top guy during a time when they weren't doing the best business. Some people might tell you part of that is cause the Hitman wasn't a a big draw as champion, but frankly, considering the WWF had a much thinner roster than they did during the glory years of Hulk Hogan, he was arguably the most over dude the WWF had at one time, way more so than the guy they were trying to back as the next big star, that being Lex Lugar. Triple H on the other hand, got to wrestle in more high profile matches during another WWF boom period, that being the Attitude era. He also got to become a member of the ultra popular DX. So in some regards, Triple H probably looks like a bigger draw, but I think more people respect Bret.

Somebody He’s right too. If Triple H wasn’t one of the guys running the show no one would give a fuck about them. WWE also tries to hype DX as this huge thing but at the time they weren’t. Especially after Sean Michaels left.

Also triple h, praised tic flair hundred times more then flair deserved flair is great but he promoted ten flair dvds before one for savage or piper and how many ceremonies of praise has flair gotten because of HHHs direction it’s sickening

My issue with all the aew stans is how they all seemingly have ALWAYS been there supporting non-WWE wrestling companies yet Hogan's and Bischoff's TNA, post-Era of honor ROH and PWG were really struggling at the time.

it is interesting that as much as Bret shitted on TNA, he still had a lot of respect for guys like Styles and Samoa Joe
