I'm a Pakistani, Milk Tea (Called "Doodh-patti" or "Chai") is a staple drink, in my household, we drink chai in the mornings with breakfast, and in the evenings while sitting with our parents, it's also a good remedy to many things, people can make Ginger Milk Tea to relieve head aches, and dilute some specific produced spices (they're called Joshanda, they come in small packets) to relieve sore-throat :)

Voila it's ready to drink hot and tasty with any tea time biscuits 😋

dont boil it as the fat will separate to the top as a cream layer and it will become skimmed milk instead. So simmering longer will be better to retain the full body taste of milk tea.

I’m just gonna make this now so I don’t have to walk 25 minutes to my local Tastea anymore. And I already have boba at my house so, yeah!

I love getting just milk tea from the bubble tea stores. It’s just like “cha” in Bangladesh, but iced ❤ Thank you for the recipe.

What does it taste like?
@hutaosfutureclient4 жыл бұрын
Mochi Kupcake It tastes like rich, milky tea... I don’t really know how to describe it! If you like creamy things or mochas then you will love this though.
@alena64844 жыл бұрын
@@MokiTheFish It tastes amazing! It’s like a very smooth tea and the milk mellows out the bitter notes of the tea. Adding sweetness enhances the flavour and it’s just really nice!

Why did you cut the teabag just to strain it with a strainer later?
@dreamer64324 жыл бұрын
I'm thinking the same thing
@lucyblair86674 жыл бұрын
i guess so it could mix better
@dreamer64324 жыл бұрын
Ok so I tried it, and here's what I found: The tea does mix a little better into the milk and when you strain it, the fine pieces of tea are left inside, which could either be something you do or don't like. Also if you're using five teabags, the milk left in the teabags could be a bit of a waste. I'm sure it will work just fine if you put the whole teabag in though.
@beatm69484 жыл бұрын
Just made this, and it's SO good. I did 36g of sugar, and that was too much sugar for me, so just be aware it's really sweet. Super good though.

Why is this considered "fancy" isn't it just regular but super strong tea in a glass bottle? 🤔
@stevie88494 жыл бұрын
idk about fancy, but this definitely isn’t how “regular” tea is made in the west. a lot of people add a splash of milk to their tea, but that’s it. brewing tea in milk instead of water isn’t standard. i don’t think anyone but the people in the comments think this is fancy. imo they’re conflating the channel’s aesthetics with the drink for whatever reason

Can we use earl grey tea too? I tried it out with early grey tea but it doesn’t taste so sweet is there another way to make a it sweeter with ear grey tea? (I used sugar)
@girly.mimi004 жыл бұрын
You can use earl grey tea. Black tea is the most common tea to use. If you want to make it sweeter, try brown sugar or just add more granulated sugar.
@alena64844 жыл бұрын
Yeah, earl gray would work too! This recipe works for almost any tea but you’ve just got to adjust the sugar a little. You can use white sugar, brown sugar, or even condensed milk!
