This was my first game to find a shiny in. It was a full odds shiny pidgey...on route 1. I didn't even know it WAS a shiny but I saw it looked different and that it sparkled so it went on my team...and then proceeded to never take it out of my party for the rest of my game. Might as well have been my starter if Blastoise wasn't as good stat wise as my other mons.

@@GrystalBeastTV Just open up 2 windows of vba and load the same game in each. Test buttons and see if they are synced. If not, then you can just go into the settings on the above tabs and there should be options for background input or sync input, something like that. Then just load up a bunch more windows and you can hunt way faster but still legitimately this way. It works great. It's how I got 2/3rds of my Hoenn starters and Kanto starters as shinies actually.

@@tps_young ya i did it’s pretty simple but it only works for windows. You just hold the shift key while opening your emulator and it should allow your pc to open up multiple versions. then you just put the save file and configure all the settings to be the same. and when you get the shiny you want you close out of the other ones and save on that emulator.

I have a shiny Raticate on my old Firered game. One of two I encountered in gen 3, the other was a shiny Poochyena in Emerald, though unfortunately I've lost it since. 😄 On my Pokemon Let's Go Eevee rom hacks, on my previous PC I hunted for a gold fish, and caught it eventually after a ridiculously long chain. On my current PC after downloading the game and playing again, I had a shiny Metapod after 40 minutes of playing lol. I have attempted hunting shinies, but I do not have the patience for it. The gold fish was the only hunt that ended succesfully.

if you are on windows just right click the emulator on the taskbar and click it on the menu that pops up. It should launch another window. Also make sure you have background input on in the emulator settings
