I have one of those blueberry SSKs and love it. Apart from maybe a milled inner clasp I think Seiko got the SSK spot on and did enough to elevate it above the normal 5s. It was inevitable that the Chinese were going to churn out decent enough watches with the nh34 but I would be seeking out one of the more original designs that are floating around. As good as this homage appears to be the real deal will always be the better watch.

Steeldive do produce very good watches. I’ve got the Willard and submariner and you can’t fault them. This latest watch from steeldive looks to me to be at least compatible to the Seiko. Plus you’re getting a clickable bezel and sapphire crystal which isn’t on the Seiko. I can’t remember if the clasp on the Seiko is pressed. If it is then yet again Steeldive has beat them on that too. All in all I probably would buy this before the original.

The real deal Seiko nailed all the design details to a T so I waited for the price to come down and bought two of them. My only beef with Seiko is that they do not regulate the NH34 very well. Both are giving beat errors of 0.7 to 0.8. That's unacceptable at their price point. I have two Steeldive watches and they are fantastic beaters. Very tough and look great. If they would have gotten the bidirectional bezel correct then this one would be a Seiko killer especially if they regulate the beat error to less than 0.5

I looked at buying a Seiko srpd55k1 here in Thailand and they cost more than what I would pay in usa... so I'll probably just buy the SD.

I currently have a fossil chronograph , this looks nice as the original is knocking on the door of nearly half a grand at £400 feel this is good value. For an extra couple more pounds I could get a entry level Hamilton so make me sigh is dispair as my first ever watch was a Seiko 5 when I was 14 years . Grand Seiko are on my bucket list but I have more important priorities ATM.

Just received mine..Not bad, wish it was a 44mm but that's just me who likes a larger watch. Small thing, but wish they'd get rid of the PLASTIC watch box ! Too much plastic in our waters so strange that they'd package this in a box that divers hate to see.

these watches are garbage mine run 2 mins fast out of the box then kept stopping.seiko gmt was 500 dollars for a reason.these watches are no way 300m water resistant. buyer beware
