I really want a t-shirt based on this stuff! But of course I don't want it to be confused with the Avengers. So we need a nice design for an A in a circle, with some suitable imagery for gone / zero / pure consciousness / the source, etc ala Shinzen's blog post "Marvel Comics Spreads the Dharma".

Good to see Shinzen inviting the anarchists into the dhamma fold (not sure though if they will accept either the invite or the appropriation of their iconography) ;-) Seriously though, there seems to be a revolutionary (Gautama was after all essentially instigating a reformation of Hindu orthodoxy) if not an iconoclastic (Zen being the exemplar par excellence) streak running through Buddhism which, I would posit, is one of the primary factors in its appeal to white baby-boomers (like me!) looking for a contrarian, if not anarchic alternative to the Western worldview.
