The Curran model is sounding incredible, I definitely want to try one out sometime. I tried some Shires horns when I first got my bass but I liked the sound of my Bach 50 more. Also have heard George play so many times (love him), I am curious what his horn is like

@@AidanRitchie how does the George Curran compare to a similar setup Edwards B454?
@AidanRitchie Жыл бұрын
@@kcbroadhurst1558 very different, just because Edwards and Shires are pretty different.

A thing to consider Aidan, where do you play at Disney? In a bldg., outside with no acoustics, in a lobby area dodging people from your slide, etc etc, that makes such a difference to what you’re hearing and feeling as you well know. We would like to hear more about what you do there. 😊

Sounds like a good review of why they are not-for-outdoor-use Trombones. I'm guessing the dual bore on the Curran helps with the loudness factor (for how you play- would be too much for me). Also the Sarastro is more German-style so different style then at Disney (as you commented). About the 830 at Disney, would you say that is one of the bad ones (of that model) that you have played? Some are good but I have heard a lot more bad ones than good ones. Curious as all the 822Gs (my horn) all play great.

Yes, I haven't run into a bad 822. They seem pretty consistent. The 830 at work is DEFINITELY a bad one, bottom 25 percent I think. But I also haven't played a good one in a while, so...

What tuning slide You get for monster bass? Is that original bach 50 ts?
