sometimes I replay 8-crown to go to areas that would be perfect places for star coins I want them to be at: 6:21 above those colorful platforms 7:57 in the air where you collect it by jumping to the right of the platform onto the second one 9:39 behind the stairs that help you get to the top of the flagpole

There is another secret if you want to try it. First you start a new game then once you get to an area with a warp zone take the warp. Don't activate the world transition cutscene until you unlock luigi. Then once you have luigi select him and activate the transition cutscene, instead of it playing normally as mario it plays as luigi.

There is possibly another, slower 1-up trick, if you hover above the spot where a goomba spawns from a baddie box they will jump right under you. Idk if this was covered, but if you use skips to skip cutscenes, after unlocking Luigi you can view the cutscenes as him as long as you never viewed them as Mario. He actually makes Luigi sounds and appears which he isn’t supposed to normally but Nintendo thought ahead and programmed Luigi cutscenes anyway

I believe that was in S1-3 where there’s goombas that spawn repeatedly and if you have a tanooki leaf then you’ll be able to get 1-ups. Is that the one you’re talking about? It’s also similar to Super Mario Bros 3.
